Craig Fleming adamant he is suited to Struber’s playing style at Bristol City

00:00Bristol City's new assistant head coach Craig Fleming has made clear

00:04and he is very much suited to the playing style that Gerhard Struber will implement at the Robins.

00:09I mean, yeah, obviously working, I'd gone through the level so I started coaching in non-league,

00:13went through the academy and then to finally get there, yeah, it was fantastic.

00:16Playing your trade against the best in the world, yeah, it was fantastic.

00:19And a lot has been spoken about that Gerhard's style of play, the high press, the intensity.

00:23How excited are you to work with him?

00:25Yeah, very. I mean, I learnt that. Exactly the same style from Ralph.

00:28Like I said, they're both, I mean, they're not exactly the same,

00:31but they both came out of the Red Bull stable.

00:34It's very exciting. Great for fans.

00:36I mean, it's high tempo, high energy, fast, speedy.

00:40Yeah, it's good. I mean, I like the style of play, to be honest with you.

00:42And you also have a lot of experience in academies, don't you?

00:45I mean, it's an important part of Bristol City, the academy pathway.

00:49How excited are you to see some of the young lads involved?

00:51Well, for sure. I don't think there's anything better than for any fan,

00:54any football fan, seeing young kids that have been at their club since the age of eight

00:58or ten and come through and then play for the team.

01:00I think that's just the best bit about football.

01:02And you've been around the place a couple of days now.

01:05How excited are you for the season and to be around Ashton Gate?

01:08Very excited. I mean, it's a fantastically traditional club.

01:12Good fan base, great fan base.

01:14And Bristol Rovers' Taylor Moore has made clear that there is still lots of work to do

01:19for the gas as they approach the start of the new League Two season

01:23following their 2-1 victory in pre-season against Yeovil Town.

01:29First and foremost, a win. So, obviously, very pleased with that.

01:33A lot to work on. I think the first half especially showed that

01:37if we do start slow, we're going to get punished.

01:41We've had two good goalkeepers that have joined the club that have done very, very well.

01:47So, for Brad to make a little bit of a rare mistake,

01:51we all had to kind of rally around and make sure that we made it right for him as well.

01:55So, he's been fantastic.

01:57And that's what pre-season's for. We're all getting in the flow of things.

02:00But ideally, we need to start games a hell of a lot better.

02:03We had, obviously, a strong work with ourselves at half-time.

02:07The guffer got his opinion across as well and we knew what we needed to do in the second half.

02:11So, a lot to work on but another win.
