00:00Thanks.
00:01Jack.
00:03Good afternoon.
00:04The Republicans made a big deal about how the Biden administration handled the border
00:07last year.
00:08That was a major issue in the election.
00:10But then we have this officer from the CBP who was shot in Manhattan last night and Republicans
00:15saying, see, this is, you know, part of the policy.
00:18People got in the country illegally.
00:19They shouldn't be here.
00:20What's your response to that when something that tragic happens in your home city?
00:24It's my hope that the victims of this criminal act are able to fully and completely recover.
00:34And those responsible for the criminal act should be held accountable and prosecuted to
00:40the full extent of the law.
00:43At the end of the day, we have to make sure in this country that we secure the border,
00:50fix our broken immigration system in a bipartisan and comprehensive way while at the same time
00:58standing up for dreamers, farm workers, and law-abiding immigrant families.
01:07There are a lot of people throughout this country who now disapprove of the Trump administration's
01:15approach to immigration who were promised that the Trump administration was going to focus
01:25on deporting violent felons as opposed to targeting children and law-abiding immigrant families.
01:40The Trump administration should spend the billions of dollars in taxpayer resources that it has
01:49to make this country as safe as possible by focusing on deporting violent felons,
01:56not showing up at Little League baseball games, churches, schools, and hospitals.
02:04Leader Jeffrey speaking today.
