00:28Mysterious messages, written on the sky and signed the eagle, are believed to be the
00:58work of Nathan Gregory, owner of a small carnival show, whom the directors of an airplane factory
01:05charge with attempting to blackmail them. Gregory, in his turn, accuses the directors of having stolen
01:13from him an invention that is worth a fortune. Gregory's daughter, Jean, frantic with anxiety
01:20because her father has disappeared mysteriously, has trailed two agents of the eagle to the
01:26airplane factory. Meanwhile, our friend Craig McCoy, stunt flyer with the carnival, is also
01:33at the factory, siri, accompanied by the strongman, the ventriloquist, and the midget.
01:46Get to the street, Mr. Gregory. I'll hold him.
01:56Go ahead.
02:00Go, go ahead.
02:11Go, go ahead.
02:15Go, go.
02:18.
02:19They'll take it to me.
02:29Father!
02:30Jim, quick.
02:31We've got the hideout.
02:35Gregory.
02:44Fritz, Drie!
02:45She's fainted.
02:46Get her to the car.
02:48I'll hold these birds up.
02:48You're holding it.
03:18There it is, Gregory, getting in the car.
03:32So you thought you'd get away from us, did you?
03:35Not a chance. Open that door there.
03:48You'll never get me back there alive.
03:51Hey, what's this all about, you two?
04:00You got here just in time, officer.
04:02This man's insane.
04:04Insane? Why, you...
04:12So the end's insane, eh?
04:14Yeah. Persecution mania.
04:17Thinks he's an inventor whose plans have been stolen.
04:20Imagines he's being held prisoner by enemies.
04:22You were!
04:24Oh, I am an inventor.
04:27My invention was stolen,
04:29and I have been held prisoner
04:31by the directors of that corporation.
04:34There, see?
04:36Yeah, too bad.
04:38One of you boys drive the car, and we'll take him down.
04:40Oh, but I tell you, it's all a mass of lies.
04:42I am an inventor, and I...
04:43Yeah, sure, sure.
04:44I understand.
04:45Come along.
04:46Tell me all about it now.
04:58Say, officer.
04:59Hadn't we better take him back to the sanitarium?
05:01You see, his relatives are big shots.
05:04And they wouldn't want the newspapers to get hold of this.
05:06Oh, I see.
05:07I haven't been in a sanitarium.
05:09I tell you, these men are after my life.
05:19Gregory is the eagle, all right.
05:21This time, we actually saw him.
05:22Yes, there's...
05:23There's no doubt of it.
05:24Look.
05:25Look.
05:26Another sky in the sea.
05:31The eagle again.
05:32His riding aim.
05:33His victory.
05:34We...
05:35We've got to do something to stop this being.
05:37Well, what can we do?
05:38Oh, this thing can't go on.
05:39Let's...
05:40Let's call in the police.
05:41You know very well we don't dare appeal to the law.
05:43Certainly.
05:44Absolutely.
05:45We're quiet.
05:46We're gonna...
05:57She's suffering from shock more than anything else, I think.
06:00The night's rest will take care of that, I'm sure.
06:02It's enough to shock anybody being attacked by a madman.
06:05Madman?
06:06What's happened?
06:07Where's my father?
06:08Now, now.
06:09You mustn't talk.
06:10You'll only excite yourself.
06:12But I want to know what happened and how I...
06:16We'll tell you all about it in the morning.
06:18I tell you, I can't stay here.
06:20I've got to...
06:33I want...
06:34There, now.
06:35You've got to rest.
06:36Be a good girl and try and sleep.
06:37Well, I've got to get back to my beach.
06:39So long.
06:42What are those men doing here?
06:44Why, they brought you here.
06:45Oh, I've got to get out of here.
06:46Please get my clothes.
06:47Wouldn't do you any good if you had them.
06:48The entire staff has orders not to let you out.
06:51Oh, I've got to get out of here.
06:52Please get my clothes.
06:53Wouldn't do you any good if you had them.
06:54The entire staff has orders not to let you out.
06:57I say to you, I say, who was that woman that I seen you with on the street last night?
07:12And you say...
07:13And I say...
07:14Grant's going up there.
07:15The idea of starting to learn a new act this time of night.
07:17Nothing doing.
07:18We've got to stay up till Craig and the rest of the bunch come back from the factory.
07:21Oh, gee.
07:22Oh, gee.
07:23Oh, gee.
07:24Oh, gee.
07:25Oh, gee.
07:26Oh, gee.
07:27Oh, gee.
07:28Oh, gee.
07:29Oh, gee.
07:30Oh, gee.
07:31Oh, gee.
07:32Oh, gee.
07:33Oh, gee.
07:34Oh, gee.
07:35Oh, gee.
07:36Oh, gee.
07:37Oh, gee.
07:38Oh, gee.
07:39Oh, gee.
07:40That sounds like them now.
07:45Everything worked out perfectly.
07:48Where's Mr Gregory?
07:50Why, I haven't seen him.
07:51Isn't he with you?
07:53Well, that's strange.
07:54I thought he was ahead of us.
07:56Maybe we'd better go back and see what's happened to him.
07:59No, you two fellows turn in.
08:01If he doesn't show up pretty quick, Henry and I will go look for him.
08:06Oh, gee.
08:08Well, I'm sure that Mr. Gregory got out of the factory,
08:10but the question now is, whoop...
08:12No, you don't.
08:16Get in here.
08:18So, Gregory got away from the factory, did he?
08:20Where is he now?
08:22I don't know.
08:24And if I did know, do you think I'd tell you,
08:26after you robbed him, kidnapped him,
08:28and blamed all your crimes onto him?
08:30Why, you!
08:32The man's gone.
08:34The man's gone.
08:36Don't pay any attention to him.
08:38I'll hold him here.
08:40You fellows go out and search the grounds for Gregory.
08:48I wonder if you could get me a glass of hot milk.
08:50Sometimes that helps me to sleep.
08:52Well, I'll try.
09:06Keep in mind.
09:28Hello.
09:29Give me that phone.
09:30It may be just the information we want.
09:32Oh, let a guy talk to his girl, won't you?
09:34Wouldn't you ever in love?
09:36Why, certainly I've been in.
09:38Smart boy.
09:42Oh, be a little broad-minded, won't you?
09:44What are you talking about?
09:46This is Jean.
09:48Oh, honey, I can't tell you that.
09:52I've got, uh, visitors.
09:56You mean, some of those...
09:58I don't know.
10:00You mean, some of those men are there?
10:02Oh, sure, I mean it, sweetheart.
10:04I mean that and nothing else but...
10:10Gee, ain't love grand, Mr. Green.
10:16Do you think that's funny?
10:18Goodbye, honey.
10:22Poor Jeanette.
10:24I hate to think of her in the hospital.
10:26In the hospital?
10:28Why, sure.
10:30Rit past sanitarium.
10:32She's just like a prisoner there.
10:34And dying to see us.
10:36Craig, Craig, there's somebody snooping a...
10:38What the...?
10:40Come on in. Join the party.
10:42But no loud talk.
10:46What's the idea of the stick-up, Craig?
10:48They're after Gregory again.
10:50Get up on that stool.
10:52Well, if we're gonna be here all night...
10:54We might as well rehearse the act.
10:56Okay.
10:58Now let's see, uh...
11:00What was that gag?
11:02I say to you...
11:04You say to me.
11:06Who was that lady I see you on the street with last night?
11:08All right.
11:09Who was that lady I seen you with on the street last night?
11:12That wasn't no street.
11:14That was right up my alley.
11:16Pa, Pa.
11:17Wasn't that a great gag, Mr. Green?
11:18What will I do?
11:19Break him in two and throw the pieces in the wood marks?
11:21No.
11:22No.
11:23No.
11:24No.
11:25No.
11:26No.

11:33No.
11:34No.
11:35No.
11:36No.
11:37I came in two and throw the pieces in the wood marks?
11:38No.
11:39Tie them up.
11:40Study the others away from it.
11:42Ha-ha.
11:43I know a better way.
11:48Here he is, fellas.
11:53I've got him roll the back of the ferris wheel.
11:55Ward.
11:56He's got Gregory.
12:00Here, Billy.
12:01Stand guard over him.
12:03Well wait, wait a minute.
12:05Okay, pal.
12:13Where's Gregory?
12:15I thought you said you had him.
12:17Why, no, we thought you said it.
12:19No.
12:21No?
12:23No.
12:25No?
12:27No.
12:35There's a Dr. McCoy in the lobby to see your patient.
12:43Dr. McCoy?
12:45Yes, he was sent by the two gentlemen who brought the patient in last night.
12:48Okay, show him in.
12:53They're expecting you.
12:55Room three, first to the left.
13:01Good morning, nurse.
13:02Good morning, doctor.
13:04And how was our patient this morning?
13:06I think rested very nicely.
13:10Oh, may I borrow your thermometer, please?
13:12Uh, certainly.
13:23Oh, that was clumsy of me.
13:24Could you get me another thermometer, please?
13:26Yes.
13:34What's it all about?
13:35How did you get here?
13:36Oh, I don't know.
13:37Daddy and I were attacked in the factory, and then I fainted like a little fool.
13:40Then the next thing I knew, I was here.
13:42Oh, listen.
13:43I think they've got Daddy here, too.
13:44What makes you think so?
13:45Because it was Moore and Boyle who brought me here.
13:47Moore and Boyle?
13:48That means we've got to work fast.
13:49I'll prowl around and try and find out what room he's in.
13:55Moore and Boyle are out there now.
13:58How are the patients this morning?
13:59Both are doing nicely, I believe.
14:01Doctor McCoy is in with the young lady now.
14:02Hello.
14:03McCoy?
14:04Yes.
14:05Mrs. Brownlee is doing as well as can be expected.
14:08I suppose it would be alright for us to go in, wouldn't it?
14:11Yeah.
14:12It would be alright for us to go in, wouldn't it?
14:13Oh, no.
14:14Well, we're not sure.
14:15Yes.

14:17I am.
14:18All right.

14:22I am.
14:23I am.
14:24I am.
14:25I am.
14:26I suppose it'd be all right for us to go in, wouldn't it?
14:30Yes, I think so.
14:32You know the room.
14:33Yes, thank you.
14:40Don't be a fool.
14:41It's Greg who we're after.
14:56There's no use getting noisy.
14:59You're going out with us, and that's that.
15:01I won't go.
15:02You can't make me go.
15:04Would you rather we'd calm you down?
15:07What's the meaning of this, gentlemen?
15:11Who are you, and what do you want with this patient?
15:15Why, we're the men that brought him here last night.
15:18This gentleman is his brother.
15:20He's a lie.
15:21He's not my brother.
15:23This gentleman is his brother.
15:24Hey, it's a lie.
15:25He's not my brother.
15:26They've come here to kidnap me.
15:27Oh, no, no, that's all right.
15:28I'm sure everything's going to be all right.
15:31You boys better step outside while I quiet him down.
15:40Easy, Skipper.
15:43Now, the strong man's waiting outside in the car.
15:45When I give you the signal, why, beat it.
15:48Craig, look out!
15:53Never mind me.
15:54Don't get out.
15:54Quick.
15:58Get me out of this closet.
15:59Give me my clothes.
16:18Hey, Dan.
16:19Shorty, come quick.
16:20The crazy man's getting away.
16:22Where's your father?
16:32Craig's with him.
16:33Look.
16:34Let me go.
16:35Let me go.
16:36Let me go right there.
16:37You.
16:38Let me.
16:39I don't belong.
16:40You can help me.
16:41Get the motor started.
16:42Get in the car.
16:53I hold these boys up.
16:54Come on, we've got to stop, Gregory.
17:10My father.
17:11Let me go.
17:20Walk.
17:22Let me go.
17:24Let me go.
17:28Let me go.
17:30I'm going back to help Craig.
17:49Beat it around a corner. I'm going back to help Craig.
18:00Go on through, Gene. If we stop here, get us.
