USC Trojans Cornerback DJ Harvey Discusses His first Impression On The Secondary
Transcript
00:00How much did you talk to him through the transfer process?
00:02Didn't talk to him at all because he had his own situation going on,
00:05so I wanted to go through it my way, be a grown man about it.
00:10You guys grew up together, like a whole childhood.
00:13Yeah, youth, high school, now college.
00:16It's just a blessing that we got through three phases of it.
00:19What's been your first impression of this secondary, this unit,
00:22you know, the veterans like yourself and the younger guys coming along?
00:25Hungry dogs, hungry.
00:27I always want to learn, having T. Reed and Belk with us, and also Buki.
00:32It's just great to learn from all three of them because they all had experience,
00:36all been in the highest level.
00:38That's where we're trying to go.
00:39Bishop was saying they kind of like to talk.
00:41The young guys kind of like to talk and bark a little bit.
00:44Yeah, you know, everybody likes to talk and bark, including myself,
00:47but that's just a part of playing DB.
00:49We play the hardest position on the field,
00:50so you've got to have confidence when you're out there.
00:53How much did you and Kamari keep in touch and talk in previous years?
00:56You talking about, like, when he was in college and I was in college?
01:00Yeah, yeah.
01:01I talk to him every day.
01:03Regardless of outside of football, he's still my godbrother.
01:05So we talk about life, talk about football within the scheme
01:09of what he got going on, wherever he was at and wherever I was at.
01:13Just always keeping that connection.
01:14Do you have any chance at home for a long time?
01:20Hello.
01:22All right.
01:23All right.
