00:00Friendship to all, enemy to none. India is our big neighbor. BNP love to work with every state
00:09with integrity and dignity, with a friendship. BNP always believe in democracy. BNP is the
00:19one of the biggest political party. Under her leadership, under her direction,
00:24I meant Sheikh Hasina, 2000 innocent civilians were killed, brutally killed.
00:31The credibility of Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus and his government's ability to conduct free and
00:38free elections? Well, Dr. Muhammad Yunus running the government in support of the all political
00:48parties. After 5th of August, when Hasina fled the country, then all political parties made a
01:00consensus and request him to join in the government as head of the executive. Therefore, we can presume
01:09the political parties, including BNP, have their confidence upon him that he will conduct an
01:17election which will be credible, participatory, inclusive. And at the same time, Dr. Yunus
01:26categorically stated many times, this upcoming election will be an example for the country.
01:33Therefore, we firmly believe he can conduct an election which is free, fair and credible.
01:41With the Awam League now banned, what is BNP's official position on the development?
01:46Actually, the activities is currently postponed. Awam League is not banned so far, I know.
01:56Their activities is currently postponed. So that is the executive decision. As a political party, BNP
02:05always believes in democracy, believes in multi-party in the country. As you know,
02:14BNP always believes in multi-party democracy. However, BNP always believes in multi-party democracy.
02:20However, BNP always believes in multi-party democracy.
02:34BNP always believes in multi-party democracy. However, considering the prevailing situation,
02:47the executive took the decision that activities of the Awam League is postponed.
02:56What is Khaledhajaya's current health and legal status? And what role will she play in BNP's political roadmap?
03:05Listen, BNP chairperson Vagum Khaledhajaya always is the heart of BNP. Under her leadership,
03:15BNP has grown in such a way that it is not only in the country, around the subcontinent, BNP is the
03:22one of the biggest political party. And her health so far, considering her age and previous disease and
03:33everything, doctor will be in better position to say about her health. Her legal position is quite good.
03:43She was unfortunately illegally convicted by personal garage, out of personal garage of Sheikh Hasina.
03:50After 5th of August, through court of law, she is now free. There is no case pending.
03:57Does BNP support effort to extradite Sheikh Hasina for alleged crimes? And how does it plan to pursue this?
04:08Of course, this is not only BNP. All the people of Bangladesh, they want Sheikh Hasina to return
04:17back to Bangladesh and face the charges that are brought against her. Of course, under her leadership,
04:26under her direction, I mean Sheikh Hasina, 2,000 innocent civilians were killed, brutally killed.
04:34That was a targeted killing under the direction of Sheikh Hasina Vajat. Therefore, she must face the
04:42justice and judicial system and face the allegations that are brought against her. And in that view,
04:50BNP always want to prevail the justice system, believe in rule of law. Therefore, we want Sheikh Hasina should
04:58return back and face the music. How does BNP view future India-Bangladesh relations in a post-Hasina era?
05:09BNP is a party which believes in friendship to all, enemy to none. This is our idea. This is our ideology,
05:20which was introduced by former President Shohidra Shtopati Zayorohman. Friendship to all, enemy to none.
05:28So, India is our big neighbour. So, BNP love to work with every state with integrity and dignity, with a friendship.
05:40And how does BNP respond to reports of attacks on Hindu minorities? And what step would it take to ensure their protection?
05:52That is an unfortunate statement, I think, some first state quarter is trying to make. Basically,
06:01the level of minority atrocities, whatever it has been stated, that is not the case. When AOMI regime was in power,
06:13minorities were rather more vulnerable than now. So, some of the Hindus leaders who are not only belong to AOMI
06:22League. They are leaders of the AOMI League. And they made so many bad things. Therefore, people are
06:28like angry, frustrated like others AOMI League leaders. They are not regarded as Hindu. They are
06:36regarded as AOMI League leaders. For example, in my constituency, there are almost 25% Hindus. You cannot
06:44given simple one example that none of the minorities are being harassed. Across the country, there are
06:52some. There were some, I believe. There were some. But that incident is not politicized. It is a political
07:01matter. It is not a Hindu and Muslim. So, I believe this kind of statement is trying to make some vested
07:11quarter to demand the existing position and the country as well.
