How to Fix Jade Empire "Failed to Find Steam" (2007 Special Edition)

In this troubleshooting tutorial video, I'll show how to fix the Jade Empire "Failed to find Steam" problem, which affects many users who try to play Jade Empire after having bought it through the Steam platform. This problem affects users with different specifications of hardware and software, and it happens "across the board".

This specific problem is related to permissions, specifically, permissions related to Jade Empire and Steam at the same time.

PART I - Steam.dll
1. Go to the Steam folder (Default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam) [In the video, I show the navigation to this default folder]
If you have installed Steam in another location in your computer, go to that location.
2. Find "Steam.dll" - Select it - Copy it
3. Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jade Empire"
[In the video, I also show the navigation to the game folder]
4. Paste "Steam.dll" here
Now proceed to the next part of the video.

PART II - Administrator Permissions
1. Select "JadeEmpire" - Right-click it
2. Click "Properties" - Click "Compatibility"
3. Check "Run this progarm as administrator"
4. Click "Apply" - Click "OK"
5. Select "JadeEmpireLauncher" - Right-click it
6. Click "Properties" - Click "Compatibility"
7. Check "Run this progarm as administrator"
8. Click "Apply" - Click "OK"
