In this video, I'll show how to fix GTA 5 crash on loading screen, GTA 5 crashing on startup and auto closing. There are several steps to take, and all of them are important, so make sure to follow the video from beginning to end to ensure you take all of the steps to fix this problem.

00:50 Compatibility Settings
01:36 settings.xml

Go to Computer
Open drive
Open the Windows folder
Open the System32 folder
Search for "dinput"
Find the two "dinput8.dll" files
Copy the two "dinput8.dll" files
Paste them in your desktop
Now, search for "d3d9"
Copy the d3d9 file
Paste the d3d9 file in your desktop
Copy all of these files you pasted in your desktop
Go to the game folder
Paste the copied files here

In the game folder,
Select GTA5
Right-click
Click on Properties
Click on Compatibility
Check the option to "Run this program in compatibility mode"
Click to show the options
Select Windows 7
Check the option to "Run this program as administrator"
Click on Apply
Click on OK
Select PlayGTAV
Right-click it
Click on Properties
Click on Compatibility
Check the option to "Run this program as administrator"
Do not check the option to "Run this program as administrator"
Click on Apply
Click on OK

Go to Documents
Open Rockstar Games folder
Open GTA V folder
Select "settings.xml" file
Right-click it
Click on Delete
