00:00I just want to ask you, so the president said over the weekend about the Epstein files, it's time to move on, not wasted time and energy over it.
00:19You've been pretty vocal about this. Do you agree with them? It's time to move on.
00:23You know, I think it's just a red line that it crosses for many people.
00:28Well, Jeffrey Epstein is literally the most well-known convicted pedophile in modern-day history,
00:34being convicted years ago for procuring a child for prostitution, as well as other charges.
00:43And this is something that's been talked about by many people serving in the administration,
00:48myself and many others on the right and the left,
00:51of there needing to be transparency of the rich and powerful elites that were in his circle
00:59while he was just one of the worst serial abusers of young women.
01:08And I really think people deserve transparency on that.
01:12And it's not wrong to continue to push for it and ask for it.
01:15And I'll say this, I mean, here we are at a time where we're going to see George Santos go to jail for seven years,
01:22which I personally think is outrageous.
01:25I think that is a tremendously long amount of time for what he was convicted for.
01:30But yet we saw no one in Jeffrey Epstein's circle even be outed by name or be tried for any crimes.
01:38And Jeffrey Epstein himself only served 13 months, and part of it was at home on a work release program.
01:47That's just the type of corruption and power that people, that most Americans are just fed up with.
01:55Do you think that, I mean, the Justice Department said that there was no client listening, it was not murdered.
01:59Do you buy that?
02:01Well, no, I haven't reviewed this information, so I don't have an informed viewpoint.
02:06I just believe that it's not wrong for people to continue to want more information.
02:13I myself would like to see more information, so I can't weigh in and condemn one way or the other.
02:18And what about Bondi?
02:19How do you think she's handled this?
02:22Again, I haven't seen the information, so it would be wrong for me to judge her on the job that she's doing.
02:28But I will say it has been a very serious situation for the administration, and many people are speaking out online.
02:37You've seen it.
02:38You saw the Turning Point Student Action Summit this weekend.
02:41And a lot of people in MAGA, they really want to know more information about the people that were involved with Jeffrey Epstein.
02:50And is there a blackmail list?
02:51And are there foreign countries' governments involved?
02:54And there's nothing wrong with people continuing to ask that.
02:57How big of a blowback is there right now in MAGA world specifically?
03:00It's pretty big.
03:01I have to be honest.
03:02I'm always honest about what's going on.
03:04And, yeah, this one has been pretty big.
03:07It started with bombing Iran, but that settled down quickly.
03:13But the Epstein situation has been significant.
03:17And now it's continuing with weapons being sold to NATO.
03:24Ukraine is not a part of NATO.
03:26And people are just very much against any U.S. involvement in the Ukraine war.
03:30So the president should be aware of this?
03:32Of course.
03:33And, I mean, I've let them know myself as well as many people in the administration.
03:37I think it's important for me to communicate with the administration and with the president so that I'm a representative.
03:43That's my job title, to represent the people in my district.
03:46And I always try to convey back, this is how people feel.
03:49This is how they think.
03:50And, you know, I think, look, I'll be real honest with you.
03:55My kids are 22, 25, and 27.
03:57I am straight up in mom mode.
04:00And I think that's a serious, serious mode for someone like me to be in.
04:05Young people today can't afford housing.
04:07They can't afford rent.
04:09Insurance is ridiculous, ridiculously unaffordable in every category.
04:14People's bills are piled up, and the cost of living hasn't gone down.
04:18And credit card debt is at an all-time high.
04:21We have people dying of drugs on our streets and mental illness is out of control.
04:25To me, those are the problems that we should be focused on, and that's the most important thing we can do.
04:31Good.
04:31Appreciate the time.
04:32Thanks for asking.
04:32Thanks for asking.
04:33Yep.
04:34Thanks, Mike.
