00:09Tragedy as body of 39-year-old man discovered in river.
00:13The body of a man has been discovered in an East Lothian river.
00:16The tragic discovery was made at around 11.45am on Saturday July 12th, in the River Tyne in Haddington.
00:24A Police Scotland spokesman said the family of the man have been notified and added
00:28that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
00:32Activists demand reinstatement of Edinburgh MP to Lib Dem frontbench.
00:36More than 100 Lib Dem activists from across the UK have signed an open letter to party chiefs
00:42demanding the reinstatement of Edinburgh West MP Christine Jardine after she was sacked from the frontbench.
00:49She was removed as Lib Dem spokesperson on women inequalities and on Scotland
00:52after she voted against a Tory amendment to the welfare bill instead of abstaining,
00:57as instructed by the party whips.
01:00But the open letter voices deep misgivings and extreme concern at the move,
01:04and it demands,
01:05this decision must be reversed.
