00:00Vai ser o segundo 2.50 moto, 4.50 racers, Jett Lawrence, Hunter Lawrence, Chase Sexton, Eli Tomac,
00:08and the boys will be up next, but right now we're going to settle a score in the 2.50s.
00:14Hayden Deegan looking to follow up moto 1, here in moto 2. Let's go!
00:24Jeremy Martin on the outside! He's done it again! Another hole shot!
00:30The only thing left to do here is listen to these fans.
00:49Shimoda putting on the attack from second. This is Storybook, James.
00:54Very Storybook. I was just being quiet because I wanted to hear these fans,
00:58and they put some water down as well. J. Martin knows that.
01:02You can see Joe Shimoda almost loses their front end and goes down,
01:05but for him, he looks a little bit more aggressive than he did that first moto.
01:09Joe probably knows, look, I've got to get going. Maybe put this away.
01:12But Jeremy Martin, let's listen to this.
01:14Tom Vial has gone down. That's the entrance to the sand whoops.
01:34Yeah, we saw that going in that 4.50 moto. It was getting some holes in there.
01:39You can tell, Tom, if you don't get a good start, you probably didn't see it.
01:42And there are some potholes in there, but tough break.
01:45Tough few weekends for Tom Vial, but Jeremy Martin, I can't believe, is out front again.
01:50So cool to see. Glad to see Tom up.
01:52See if he can lead the lap. Didn't do it in the first moto.
01:57Hamaker going to route him. He's under attack from Shimoda.
02:00Small third. Hamaker, what a comeback.
02:02It's in fourth. They're crashing out of that first moto.
02:06Deegan is eighth.
02:09Let's see if he can lead this one.
02:10Yeah, he gets through this corner. He should have that.
02:12He knows. Go down the inside of his next one or outside. He's got it good.
02:18Got the lap led.
02:2210th different rider to lead a lap this year, but nothing feels sweeter than that.
02:32Well, that is a perfect 10th rider to lead.
02:35Now, by the way, let's be honest, the guy's got a shot at the overall weight today.
02:41He keeps riding well.
02:42Yeah, I was about to say, if it ends like this, he will be your overall winner.
02:46You talk about his storybook ending, and the way he looked at first moto,
02:50it wasn't like he got dropped by those guys.
02:52I mean, he was still within a few seconds of the lead.
02:55He looked fresh, and you've got to start wondering what the number one is
02:58and how he's feeling, but Jeremy Martin, what a rod, and he's been riding really good.
03:05So this isn't just luck. He has the pace, and it's been like that all day.
03:09And one thing that Jeremy's had, when he's been healthy, he is very strong.
03:14So as the track gets brutal, he gets better, and it's getting that way right now.
03:18So we'll see if the OJ mark shows up here.
03:21JT.
03:22All right, guys, did you see the start that Jeremy Martin got there?
03:26Listen, he exited the gates about even, and then he took off like a rocket.
03:31I don't know if they've got nitrous on that thing.
03:33Maybe they gave it a little extra for his last race here.
03:36And, guys, by the way, if you don't hear from me in the second half of this race,
03:38I might head to the side here, grab a towel, and cheer Jeremy Martin Yama.
03:42All right, we'll let you do it if you're on the other side of the fence.
03:44Crowd going crazy again.
03:45Yeah, and he was, JT.
03:48He did come out even with Hayden Deegan, and this is where Ryders, they want it.
03:52He wanted it.
03:53He got back.
03:54He leaned out, got on that back tire, and really just made that hole shot happen
03:58because he was very even with Hayden Deegan.
04:00Deegan, though, has moved up to 50.
04:02You see him in the bottom box.
04:03Harrop hooked up his teammates, Swole, the bottom of the hill.
04:07They came together, and Harrop able to make the move on the Triumph Rider.
04:11So now still two Triumphs with different order.
04:14Harrop third, Swole fourth, then Deegan in fifth.
04:17You see that bottom box.
04:19Vielle has retired from the race.
04:20He's headed back to the pit, and Shimoda attacking Martin again for the lead.
04:25Yeah, it's a very important part of the race for Joe.
04:28If he can get around J-Mart, maybe get a little bit.
04:30Oh, there it is, James.
04:32Will Jeremy fight him?
04:33Yeah, J-Mart ain't letting him have it that way.
04:35Joe should have closed that door off if he want, but I can understand why.
04:39It's a very high-speed section, and you don't know.
04:41You don't want it tangled up right there.
04:42So, yeah, Jeremy's not letting this thing go.
04:45I'm sure he probably knows this is for overall, too, so you might as well go fight for it.
04:49And he is.
04:50Shimoda with a line on the inside.
04:52Can Martin close him off?
04:53He does.
04:54Yeah, now, Joe, if he can get this corner, he should have a better run than J-Mart.
04:58Maybe he can close out, but Jeremy greased that corner and was able to get around.
05:04Going to stay ahead of Joe Shimoda.
05:06I think the number six has a couple lines figured out on this track.
05:10He's got a few lines, yeah.
05:12You see that Yamaha dancing around on here.
05:16But Joe's a little bit quicker on this side of the section.
05:18We heard Jeremy that first photo.
05:20He's like, look, these young boys, they like to go down these hills fast.
05:23I like to go fast, but not that fast.
05:26And so maybe Joe Shimoda can charge down these hills, get a little bit better.
05:30He should have a better run coming up here.
05:34Jeremy greased that corner on the inside as well.
05:38And in his prime, when he was the rider to beat in this championship,
05:41it was the corners where he made his money.
05:45But here's one of those big hills.
05:48Yeah, Joe would have to go down really fast.
05:50He didn't get a good drive coming out of that.
05:52Jeremy was a far ahead, so you can see Joe closing in on him.
05:55And he's a bit quicker here, but Jeremy has these insides.
05:58And unless he makes a mistake, it's going to be hard for Joe
06:00to go around the outside of him on this track.
06:05And why they battle Mikkel Haram is getting into the picture from third.
06:12Solid fourth place that first moto, so you know he's riding with confidence.
06:15Another lap clicks off, another one led by Jeremy Martin at his home race.
06:22One ain't enough, two ain't enough, let's lead three.
06:26Look at Haram.
06:29Shimoda has got to solve this riddle of the number six, or he's going to get zapped.
06:33Yeah, Joe's going to be in a tough spot because not only is Haram and Mikkel closing in,
06:39you're just letting Hayden stay around.
06:41So Joe can get around Jeremy.
06:43I do feel like he could put Hayden in the spot if Hayden was able to come up with that injury.
06:48Probably just trying to worry about getting second as Joe goes up the inside.
06:50Nice move.
06:52Got it this time.
06:54A little bit better in the entrance.
06:56Martin not able to seal it.
06:57He's going to try to run it around the outside.
07:00Shimoda to the lead.
07:01All right, let's see with Joe.
07:03He talked about that intensity being better in the early parts.
07:06It's showing.
07:07He took him a few laps, but let's see if he can stretch that gap out
07:11and really try to distance himself between that, him, and the number one
07:14that's sitting in that fifth place right now.
07:17And the Dane Haram, who's getting better every week
07:22as he adjusts to racing in America and triumphed over their second year
07:25in this championship.
07:28They're improving all the time, and now he wants second.
07:31And I believe the way if he makes this pass, it would actually tie him
07:34for third overall with Jeremy, and he would end up getting it,
07:39which would be a little bit of a bummer for him.
07:41Jeremy Martin, but cool for Mikhail, and that triumph team
07:44if they're somehow able to get this.
07:45And a nice story for Haram, contracted to race for triumph in Europe,
07:53but he cannot race the 250 class over there because they have a rule.
07:56You have to be 23 years or under the age of 23.
08:00So he aged out of the class, and they didn't have their 450 ready
08:03for him to race in Europe this year.
08:05So they said, you know what?
08:06Watch this come to America for the summer, and, man, is he impressed.
08:09J.T.?
08:11Oh, just watching Haram here, think about these two guys battling.
08:14Jeremy Martin, who makes a mistake there.
08:16He's got the most laps you could possibly ever have on this track.
08:20And Mikhail Haram has the least amount of laps you could ever have on this track.
08:23And here they are going toe-to-toe.
08:25I'm telling you guys, I think if Haram makes a quick pass here,
08:28a win might be in the cards here.
08:29He is absolutely flying.
08:31And the pass could be happening now, J.T.?
08:34Yeah, yeah, and that's the same thing that he was dealing with
08:38where Joe Shimodo did the same thing.
08:41It's so fast right there.
08:42You're not sure if that guy on the outside is going to end up slingshot
08:45and kind of coming back into you.
08:46You don't want to collide.
08:47But let's see if he can make the same pass.
08:49Joe, he should go square yourself and be on the inside,
08:52and he has the momentum.
08:53So just watch for it.
08:54He's got to get a little bit closer.
08:55But Jeremy got through those rollers really good.
08:58And they're closing back in on Joe.
09:00Even though Joe is set to pass his lap at a race,
09:03they're still right there with him.
09:06Big battle right now with major implications for the overall podium today.
09:11Haram, Martin, Shimoda.
09:20Mikkel is all over him.
09:21Inside, outside, everywhere.
09:25Still, though, Jeremy knows all the tricks.
09:28And it's able to hold him off.
09:33And Deegan not catching this group.
09:35He's actually about a half second further behind Shimoda than he was.
09:41Yeah, no, I like him.
09:42Jeremy's got some really good lines around this track.
09:45But, I mean, this guy looks like a whole different rider compared to you go back a few weeks.
09:50And that graphic that we showed, he continually gets better.
09:5311th to 6th.
09:54And then the 4th.
09:55Like, that's really how that progression has been making.
09:58And I agree with JT.
09:59I think the win could be there for him if he's able to get around.
10:03Because Joe Shimoda's not getting away from him.
10:05And it is pedaled to the medal up to that end of the track.
10:16Martin holding Haram up at bay.
10:19Deegan and Swole battling behind him, 4th and 5th.
10:21And it looks like Deegan has made the pass on Swole bottom box.
10:29Yeah, Hayden makes his way up.
10:30He had a 159 forward, which is the fastest lap.
10:32And then it was Jared Martin, 2nd there, 3 tenths faster than Joe Shimoda.
10:37So, just like that first moto, things start happening and he gets passed.
10:41But because he's able to stay there, Jeremy, that is,
10:44it's giving him more confidence to be able to go back out here.
10:46And he's starting to race forward again instead of trying to hold on.
10:49So, good ride by him.
10:50Let's see if he can continue it, JT.
10:53Yeah, and James, you know, you talk about this quite a bit.
10:56So, I'll give credit to you.
10:57But, you know, Jeremy's experience on this racetrack is paying dividends right now
11:01with Michael Haram because he knows where the threats are going to come from.
11:05He knows the passing zones.
11:06Some of these sections, right here, there's no way he can make a passer.
11:09He can rest a little bit.
11:10He doesn't have to be on guard.
11:12The other sections where Haram can't pass,
11:14Jay Martin knows those sections better than anybody.
11:16He's going to go flat out.
11:17So, every time you've seen Haram try to get up and make a move,
11:20Jeremy has been ready for it.
11:22Yeah, and like you said, that's racecraft.
11:25And every track has those lines.
11:27It's like, you know, a four-lane highway.
11:29When it opens up, that's your passing lanes.
11:31But there's a lot of parts where it's a single-lane road,
11:34and Jeremy knows where it's at.
11:35And he's just trying to beat the rider to that part so he can't do anything.
11:39But the good thing for Jeremy, he has a good pace,
11:42and he's not holding Mikel up.
11:44He's actually pulling away from it and closing in on Joe at the same time.
11:47So, just experience, but every track has it.
11:50But this one right here, Jeremy knows it better than anyone else,
11:53and he's executing a perfect race so far.
11:55And, as you mentioned, matching pace with Shimoda.
12:01Joe has not been able to move out.
12:03It's 1.8.
12:04It was two seconds.
12:06His last little sector, Jeremy, closed in a bit.
12:08Yeah, and there are certain parts of this racetrack,
12:10I feel like with Jeremy, he's better.
12:14You know, these corners, like he's closing in on Joe right here,
12:17the bottom of Mount Martin.
12:18He's actually able to close in in the corners.
12:20Going down the hill, he's not as fast.
12:22He's not taking a chance, but he's figured out a way to make that gap.
12:26And just what he said in that first moto,
12:28he just knows where he's strong at.
12:30And Joe Shimoda goes off the racetrack.
12:31Oh, and there it is.
12:33Jeremy Martin back to the lead.
12:34And what is Joe?
12:35He's signaling something to his team.
12:38That was the mechanics area with a hand off the bars.
12:40Yeah, that was weird.
12:42Almost looks like he doesn't have brakes at the moment.
12:45Okay.
12:48Yeah, that's so weird.
12:49We'll see how he's in or in his corners and stuff because,
12:52yeah, there's something definitely going on.
13:03Big shakeup here.
13:05Joe Shimoda, the race leader, off the track.
13:07We're not sure what happened.
13:08He was gesturing to his team.
13:10And Jeremy Martin has reclaimed the lead in what will be his last race.
13:15And now we see Hayden Deegan starting to lurk from fourth and closing.
13:19And something is definitely wrong with Shimoda's machine.
13:22He looked down in midair.
13:25Yeah, that's so weird.
13:27Let's see what's going on.
13:28This is ready for the mechanics here.
13:29Now he lands off this, goes to sit down.
13:32And, yeah, you see that right there.
13:33Like, almost like he went to go hit the brakes and it wasn't there.
13:36So I'm not really sure what he's pointing down at.
13:40But caught some mistake.
13:41And there's probably everybody in this paddock.
13:45And sorry, Joe.
13:47Normally we'd be happy for you.
13:48But I'm sure everybody's somewhat pulling for Jeremy Martin to get out here,
13:51which gives him the overall, again, if it hangs on this way.
13:55He ran like this.
13:57Yes, Jeremy Martin would be the overall winner in his last race.
14:02It doesn't get much better than that.
14:03The hand of fate has maybe thrown a twist at Shimoda.
14:07And Jeremy Martin knows what to do with it.
14:09He's pouring it on.
14:10Yeah, he's pouring it on.
14:12He listened to the keys of the race.
14:13I said finish it off right.
14:15Okay.
14:16He is.
14:17And he's able to, he's starting to pull away from that third place.
14:19I think his biggest competition is going to be the number one, Hayden Deegan,
14:23as he's coming.
14:24JT.
14:25Well, James, I just got a chance to briefly talk.
14:28Can you see Joe Shimoda pumping the rear brake there?
14:31They think the same thing.
14:32They have limited information.
14:33It seems like it's a rear brake problem.
14:35You see him looking down more and more.
14:36And what can happen is that rear brake fluid can get too hot,
14:40can get air in it, and it can start to go away.
14:41And he's trying to pump it up.
14:43But clearly he's suffering an issue here.
14:45Now, JT, another person who's suffering an issue is Tom Viala, number 16,
14:49here with the bike at Red Bull KTM.
14:52And it turns out that the handlebars are having an issue.
14:54The radiator has an issue.
14:56The bigger problem, though, is Tom hit the ground pretty hard.
14:59In talking with Ian Harris and the team principal, he had said that,
15:01the team manager, he had said that right now Tom is a little out of source in his head.
15:06He did ride the bike back here himself.
15:09But they are definitely going to go check him out a little bit further.
15:11Thank you, Katie.
15:12Deegan making the move on Harrop, who is trying to deal with Shimoda,
15:16who's having his problems.
15:17And Jeremy Martin looking to pull away now.
15:19Yeah.
15:20And if you're wondering how can somebody ride without a rear brake,
15:23well, this is a perfect scenario for Joe.
15:24The way this racetrack is, there's not a lot of corners where you can come to a complete stop.
15:29And the slower ones, you're just going to have to use the front brake.
15:31So what you're going to start seeing is Joe's going to start shipping a bike a lot,
15:35use the gears to go up and down to slow that motorcycle down, run these outside,
15:39bank off these berms and stuff to try to slow that bike down.
15:44And luckily for him, this track is pretty open, but it's going to be costly.
15:47It's going to be hard to hold off the number one without a rear brake or the issue that Joe has.
15:52But he's doing a good job.
15:53Halfway through this moto.
15:55Reminder, Monster Energy available at Quick Trip.
15:59Now, if Deegan makes this pass, he will be in position to win the race overall.
16:04He'd have one, two scores.
16:06That would edge Martin, who would have a 3-1.
16:11Shimoda looks a little bit better here.
16:12I don't know if he's gone through some sections where he doesn't need a rear brake
16:15or if he pumped it like JT was talking about and he got it back temporarily.
16:20But Joe's fighting.
16:21Yeah, no, Joe, he'll figure out how to ride it.
16:25And like I said, you can ride this racetrack as we're watching Seth Hamaker.
16:29Oh, Deegan's off track.
16:31And Hamaker rides off.
16:33And Deegan's off the track.
16:34Here comes Harold.
16:34Yeah, I mean, the best thing for Joe is to hopefully have Miguel come back up.
16:39But Joe still doesn't have a rear brake.
16:40You can tell in that corner right there, you know, how his entrance speed is a lot slower.
16:46And even going down Mount Martin, see, he's not able to charge into this section.
16:51As well.
16:52And Hayden senses that and he knows that.
16:53But he can ride this racetrack without a rear brake.
16:56Just not going to be as strong entering the corners.
16:59And with that pass, Hayden Deegan now controls the overall win for the weekend.
17:03He'd have the 1-2.
17:05And that would best.
17:06Martin's 3-1.
17:08Not over yet.
17:10Here comes Harold.
17:13And Deegan riding with a sore leg.
17:16Tore the fascia on his thigh muscle after the crash last week at Redbud.
17:21Definitely affected him in Moto 1.
17:22He was still able to win it in a race that went down on the wire against Shimoda.
17:27Yeah, you're going to watch on certain parts of the track.
17:31You're going to see Joe.
17:31His entrance speed is going to be pretty slow compared to these other guys.
17:35And not that it's slow.
17:36He just won't be able to charge and have that instant stop.
17:38So he's got to make the decision right here how he's going to attack this corner.
17:42If he goes inside, he's got to slow down a lot.
17:44And I think that's where these guys are going to try to make the time up.
17:47But the silver lining to it, he's going to learn what road speed is.
17:50He's going to figure that part out because he's going to have to make this momentum up
17:54to make the time up somewhere, it's always positives out of every negative situation.
17:59Yeah, but the negative is the 500-foot downhill here without a rear brake.
18:05Yeah, you can see him.
18:06He's not charging down here.
18:07Now he'll start shifting the bike down and use those gears.
18:10But he's going to go outside.
18:12A lot of time lost.
18:14Is that because of the brake?
18:15That's all because of brake.
18:17Yeah, normally they're landing off that gas net.
18:20And these guys are just losing.
18:21Joe's losing so much time going down the hill.
18:23But he has to run to outside.
18:26Very impressive to ride here.
18:27Oh, yeah.
18:28Went out of rear brake.
18:28But he's struggling for sure.
18:30So Jalik Swole now goes around him as well.
18:33The Triumphs running in formation with Harrop and Swole.
18:38And that's going to be very costly to Shimoda,
18:40who is trying to dig up points on Deegan's second of the championship.
18:44With Deegan the series leader.
18:47Jeremy Martin.
18:48Well, the overall right now would be Deegan's.
18:51But can he end his career with an individual moto win?
18:55He's in position to get it done.
19:04And that's Sam Wash.
19:06His house about 100 yards away.
19:09He's locked so many laps in this track.
19:11He's won here several times.
19:12Yeah, a little mistake right there.
19:15I mean, that's just the track going away.
19:17And it's a lot drier.
19:18So once again on the gas, the bike's bouncing around.
19:20But, man, he is riding really good.
19:22I love his lawns around here.
19:24Very good.
19:24Bouncing off these burns where it needed to be.
19:27So Jeremy's figuring the only problem is he's got Hayden Deegan closing in.
19:31And Hayden, as much as he'd be happy for Jeremy, he don't want anybody to win.
19:37I'm the only guy Deegan wouldn't be upset about losing to.
19:41It's not like he's worried about him in the championship or battling him in the future.
19:44Shout-out, though, to Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing for putting Jeremy back on the bike for the swan song.
19:54And they're singing the right tunes right now.
19:59Now, Jeremy, this is like the guy who's first time ever winning a race.
20:04I think reality's starting to set in right now.
20:06I mean, even just being able to get an overall podium is great.
20:10And if you look where Hayden Deegan is, he's actually pulling away from him this nice last lap.
20:15And if I'm Jeremy Martin, I'm trying to remember how Hayden finished that first moto.
20:19He wasn't that strong at the end because of that injury.
20:22But you know you're always going to have a fight with the number one.
20:25Yeah, you go back to what might have been.
20:27Shimoda looked to have Deegan covered at one point.
20:30Had Shimoda won that first moto in a close one, Martin would have the overall in control.
20:35It could have been a third for Deegan in moto one.
20:38And instead it was, or sorry, a second, instead it was a first.
20:42And the first and second could outdo Martin's third and first.
20:49But still, to win the final moto of your career, Ricky Carmichael, he did it here at this track in 07 to win the final moto.
20:58But it is an exceedingly rare moment in sports to end it on top.
21:03And Jeremy Martin is trying to do it.
21:06Yeah, and I think for Jeremy, these next maybe two, three laps are so important.
21:11Because if he's able to keep this gap on Hayden, he's going to calm down.
21:15Right now, reality is starting to settle in.
21:17Like, hey, I might have a chance to win this.
21:19But if he doesn't get that pressure, there will be coming at a point where he's like, all right, I can finish this thing off.
21:23He'll relax.
21:24And I'm sure Hayden probably just take the overall, and Jeremy will win this race.
21:28But it's all going to be up to these next three laps for him if he can keep that gap.
21:33Swole and Harrop James here battling for third and fourth behind Deegan.
21:37Man, Swole brushed off first moto, didn't get the start.
21:42But on that podium last week, he has been so impressive, returning from a ruptured Achilles.
21:49He's been fast in all four races.
21:52I'd say even better than last year.
21:54Yeah, I completely agree.
21:56And that's obviously the hard work Jaleet put in to get back from the injury.
22:00But also the hard work this team has been putting in all year long.
22:03And you're starting to see the Triumph motorcycles.
22:06George Smith is running seventh rap now.
22:08Both Austin Fortner has run 11th.
22:10It was the best qualifying and moto finish in that first one.
22:13So this whole team is starting to step up as they get in their brand new racing team.
22:18And it's not surprising to see Jaleet ride probably the best he has in his career.
22:22Mikhail up here on the podium.
22:23And as you said, Jason, that first moto for Jaleet was rare the way he's been riding since he's been back.
22:30So really cool to see how all these guys have a success.
22:34And shout out for Triumph again for that.
22:38Harap, really fun guy.
22:39Glad to have him here.
22:40We've told his story this summer.
22:42Been good to have him as part of the championship.
22:44And then Swole, he is as fun to hang out with as anyone on the track.
22:47He will say anything.
22:48He'll do anything.
22:48And it's refreshing that he's that loose, even though he's racing at this level.
23:07Jeremy Martin continues to lead here in his home race and his final race.
23:12Can he win going out?
23:14It won't be the weekend overall, at least not now.
23:17But he will win the individual moto.
23:19And he continues to pull away from Hayden Deegan.
23:22Now Shimoda and Kitchen, second and third of the championship.
23:27Shimoda struggling with the bike problem.
23:29As for Kitchen, not the day we expected.
23:32He won the race last year.
23:35Yeah, you can see Jaleet, he lost his footing in that corner,
23:38almost like threw it, used that leg as an anchor to try to slow that bike down.
23:42And the hard part is not having a break.
23:44When you make a mistake in the middle part of the corner,
23:47you have to lean the bike up.
23:49You know, you can't just keep it down,
23:51because otherwise you'll run off the racetrack,
23:52which he did that in the mechanics area with the lead.
23:55So Joe's struggling, but at the same time,
23:57it's very impressive for him to adapt to this
23:59and learn how to ride this motorcycle and still be running top five.
24:03Really impressive.
24:04But Levi Shabella, he gets close to him.
24:06He'll be able to get past him going down this hill,
24:07because Joe's really can't do anything with it.
24:10But Levi's not close enough at the moment,
24:12but you'll see him close up going down this hill.
24:16Here it comes.
24:18Up Mount Martin and down 495 feet.
24:23Yeah, watch you, Levi end up on the rear of Joe,
24:27especially once you get to the bottom of this corner.
24:29Joe's really just hanging on, and there you go.
24:32Almost made the pass.
24:33Yeah, wasn't close enough,
24:34but you got to think,
24:35if he just stays there,
24:36that pass is going to happen eventually.
24:38Another opportunity is here.
24:40Joe's been having a hard time
24:41trying to get to the inside of this corner
24:43off this jump because he doesn't have a rear brake.
24:47Changes up his line, comes up a little bit short.
24:50And this is a rider who's adjusting on the fly.
24:53Joe, that is, because a couple laps ago,
24:54he was not making that inside,
24:56so he's figuring out how to ride the motorcycle.
24:58And like I said,
24:59that is very impressive to do that.
25:02And then it's George Smith, Schwartz, and Ross,
25:10the teammates, not the 10th JT.
25:13I'm with a special guest here.
25:15Ken Rockson, we're so used to seeing you on the racetrack.
25:18You've had some fantastic rides here in the past.
25:20We're watching the guy that you can to watch here,
25:22Levi Kitchen.
25:23Tell us about your weekend
25:24and trying to help Levi kind of get back to form.
25:26Yeah, I'm honestly really just here as a friend of Levi's.
25:29You know, I observe what I can.
25:30I try and help where I can.
25:31But I'm also very mindful of not stepping on anybody's toes
25:34and letting him do his thing.
25:35So we've had a really good time so far.
25:37The track here today seems really hard packed
25:39compared to some of the years of ripping it really deep.
25:42But yeah, I'm just here to help Levi.
25:44And obviously he needs a better star to be running up front.
25:48It's been his Achilles heels.
25:50So we'll try and work on that.
25:53But overall, it feels so great to be back at the races
25:55and by the way, I also love what I'm seeing from J-Mart.
25:58It's just what a dreamy ride.
26:00And if he could finish it off that way,
26:02I mean, I'm really hoping and praying for him that that happens.
26:05Well, speaking of getting back to the races,
26:07what's the rest of your summer plans
26:09and then where you start thinking about
26:10the Super Rotocross World Championship as well?
26:12Yeah, so ideally, I was thinking about coming back at Unadilla,
26:15but I haven't even been on a bike yet
26:17and I'm going to start riding a turn track next week.
26:20Those races are Ironman and Unadilla.
26:22They are coming up pretty quick.
26:24So I don't know if I'll quite make it to one of the outdoors,
26:27but definitely game for Charlotte.
26:29We're excited to have you back and good luck when we do see you.
26:32Thank you.
26:34Rocks in the two-time pro motocross check.
26:37Ankle surgery ended his great run in Monster Energy Supercross
26:42and he wants to send it back to Katie Offmore.
26:44Yeah, Levi Kitchen's teammates at Hammacher,
26:46the number 56, came off the track after his first injury
26:49in Moto 1, wasn't feeling good.
26:51His own personal call came back here in the pits,
26:54has his mom by the side.
26:56The bike's still intact, but he's just not feeling up for it.
26:59They're definitely going to diagnose what's going on with him.
27:02Yeah, thanks.
27:02He had a big crash in the first Moto game to line up.
27:07His sport is brutal, but every once in a while
27:09has that sweet story like you've got up front
27:11with Jeremy Martin if he can hold on.
27:14And James, I don't think Deegan's going after him.
27:17Yeah, I mean, I think Hayden has been trying to go after him,
27:20but as I mentioned, Jeremy, his lap times are good.
27:24Um, man, he looks comfortable.
27:28Looks really comfortable.
27:34Jeremy Martin continues to lead.
27:36Clock ticking down.
27:37See if he can win his final race.
27:48So, you don't think this is just Deegan saying,
27:50I got the overall.
27:52You think he was throwing it at him
27:53and couldn't close?
27:55Yeah, I really do.
27:57And when you look at Jeremy's lap time,
27:58his fastest lap time was a 2 minute 0.3.
28:01He just ran a 2 minute 0.8.
28:03So, he's not dropping off the pace.
28:06And there was a moment in this race where,
28:08you know, a few laps ago,
28:10you could start seeing Jeremy making some mistakes,
28:12but this gap is starting to stay the same
28:15and now it's starting to open up.
28:16And, yeah, Hayden at this point,
28:18he knows he's going to make points on Joe Shimoda.
28:20But just like that 450 class,
28:22it's more about what Jeremy's doing
28:23that's dictating this
28:24and then Hayden decides to move from that point.
28:27But this is right by the number six, JT.
28:29I agree with you.
28:30I think, you know,
28:31you saw Jeremy look over there
28:32trying to mark Hayden Deegan.
28:34It's up to 5.8 seconds.
28:36And what that tells me is Hayden has relented
28:38and J-Mart is feeling the confidence from that.
28:41And if you're wondering if they're actually still pushing,
28:43I mean, they put 15 seconds into Hara.
28:45So, the pace is still there.
28:48Yeah.
28:48And Hayden Deegan, this last lap time,
28:50and this last one was a 2.04,
28:52but before that,
28:53he's been within the second of his fastest lap time.
28:55So, they have been pushing it,
28:57but Jeremy Martin has gotten confidence.
28:59And as I said at the earlier race,
29:01when this guy was on form,
29:03when the track got rough and it got brutal,
29:05you see all these other guys going out,
29:06guys making mistakes.
29:07This is where Jeremy Martin shows up
29:09and that's why he was able to win those two titles
29:11so dominant in the 250 class years ago.
29:15This is a sign of that.
29:17And I'm sure it's going to be hard for him
29:19to walk away after this.
29:21James, he raced the first two rounds of this championship.
29:24He was barely even able to get to the top 20.
29:28What is the difference?
29:29Is this all home track, mojo, adrenaline?
29:33Yeah, I mean, you could say a little bit of home track.
29:36I mean, we'd say the same thing at Southwick
29:37when guys get the fastest lap time
29:39from being the first practice,
29:40you know, the beat practice.
29:42So, you could say a little bit of that,
29:43but he still has to go out and execute.
29:45This track is different than it probably is,
29:47you know, anytime else he's raced here.
29:50I think what it is,
29:51is that he understands that everything's coming to the end
29:53and he's out here riding free.
29:55I actually really never seen Jeremy so smooth
29:58and so fluent on the motorcycle.
30:00Normally he's really charging and going very fast,
30:03but almost like he's overriding the bike.
30:06And to me, I've only seen that happen a couple times.
30:09I think he's in a point of his life.
30:11He knows it's ending.
30:12There's no pressure.
30:13He realized what a great opportunity he has
30:14on Star Racing Yamaha.
30:15He's got the start.
30:17And at the end of the day,
30:19this guy is still really good on the motorcycle
30:21and you're really starting to see it.
30:23Right now what we're seeing is confidence.
30:25And he's only getting better as these laps going.
30:28And, yeah, so you can say the home track,
30:30the home track just made him more motivated
30:32to come out here.
30:32But this is Jeremy Martin doing what Jeremy Martin did
30:35when he was winning this title.
30:37This is all him.
30:38Well, the home track thing is a technical.
30:40He knows the soil or whatever.
30:42But what about this crowd?
30:43The vibe, the adrenaline, the emotion?
30:47How much of a factor is that?
30:48All of it.
30:48That's it, yes.
30:49It really is.
30:50And I think the crowd and him getting his award
30:53before his, you know, before the race,
30:56the emotions and, like I said,
30:58really knowing that everything is coming to an end.
31:02So he's out here riding really free.
31:04And, Jason, we've seen Jeremy ride for years and all this.
31:07I've never seen the guy ride so smooth
31:10and so just really in tune.
31:13And it's kind of sad to see at the end of his career for sure.
31:18Oh, yeah.
31:19Don't get tempted, everybody.
31:23Jeremy Martin.
31:27He's only two laps away
31:28from an historic ending of his career.
31:32He's going to go out a winner.
31:33The overall will go to Deegan with a 1-2
31:37compared to Martin's 3-1.
31:39But he's a lap and a half away
31:41from winning the last moto he ever lines up for.
31:43I mean, we've seen a lot of unexpected things happen in this sport.
31:53I don't, I mean, I don't think, I mean.
31:56I don't know if I can rank anything compared to this.
31:58That's how I'm having a hard time.
31:59Yeah.
32:00This, this has definitely came out of left field.
32:02We knew he, look, he would be good and all that.
32:05But like you said, the first race, I mean, he was 20.
32:07He came in here ready to race,
32:10more prepared at that first race than he did here.
32:12And it was a struggle.
32:13But I just go back to, well, talent.
32:16He's always had a great team.
32:17But perspective, man.
32:19Hey, there's Big Al.
32:20That's his brother.
32:21Retired a few years ago.
32:22Watching quite intently.
32:25Supposed to be working today to run the events.
32:27But time out for five more minutes here.
32:33Oh, he's feeling it.
32:34Yeah.
32:34Jeremy, you're going to look back and you're going to see no one
32:39because you've dominated, son.
32:41It's the family's track.
32:42And Alex and soon Jeremy will start taking the reins
32:46from mom and dad to operate this facility.
32:49But for a moment, they're still focused on the racing.
32:53And that moment is the final lap of Jeremy Martin's career.
32:58And the whole team is cheering not for their individual riders.
33:06They're cheering Jeremy Martin, who kicked off the run
33:09of what has become one of the most dominant runs
33:12in the history of this class.
33:14That started in 2014 when Jeremy Martin was winning races
33:17and the championship.
33:19This squad went from a team that was trying to get there
33:21to a team that suddenly was.
33:23And they have not turned that off since running through Hayden
33:27Deegan right now.
33:28But it started with this guy.
33:29And he's going to end it the same way.
33:32Yeah, Jason.
33:33Well said.
33:34Well said.
33:36I don't know what more we can say.
33:38Yeah, I mean, I'm listening to this crowd.
33:40And we just saw him on the gate.
33:42It looked like he was crying, you know, or just finished crying.
33:45And I've seen a lot of impressive runs.
33:48And this is really impressive to do what he's doing
33:51with all the emotions.
33:54Yeah, a little bit.
33:55Let you hear these crowds.
34:01I feel like the track crew be biased today.
34:03Let's hear him.
34:07Yeah, to deal with all the stuff,
34:09the emotions and everything to come on,
34:12it's super impressive.
34:12You can hear him going.
34:15But Hayden Deegan is doing what Hayden Deegan's done all year long.
34:19He's beating everybody else.
34:21Jeremy came out here and won this race.
34:23There's no ifs, ands, and buts.
34:25Hayden wanted to do it.
34:26There's Dad.
34:27Do it.
34:28All right.
34:28Dad's going to take time out of the event now, too.
34:31The track owner with Alex.
34:33They got him in the Elchers Tower.
34:35And Jeremy looking to bring it home.
34:39Hayden Deegan's going to win the overall.
34:40no one's going to remember that part.
34:43And this podium today will bring him within one
34:47of the all-time mark in this class.
34:49He's going to be one short of Steve Lampson,
34:52who was the team manager when he was winning titles for this team.
34:55This is it.
34:58In so many ways,
35:00Jeremy Martin ends his career with a win.
35:04And Hayden Deegan,
35:08the overall winner of Millville 2025.
35:11But these people will never forget this,
35:16and neither will Jeremy Martin.
