Transcript
00:00Now, we do have a new ongoing flash flood emergency in this one, not in Texas, but in New Mexico in the area around Buried Oso, and this is the current radar scan. You can see more rainfall moving into this area. The cell of the heavier downpours, the yellows, oranges, the reds, that'll likely go a little bit to the north, but still, we do not need more rainfall in this area right now. When you see the storm reports, especially, you will know exactly what I mean. Take a look. A lot of these, this one coming in right before 630, an elderly
00:29female trapped in a home in need of rescue. An RV destroyed people trapped in debris. A Range Rover swept away. An unoccupied house flooded. We've seen a video that we're working on bringing to you of a house flowing down the street with those floodwaters, and this is not a trailer. This is a ranch house that these floodwaters just swept away. We've had reports of a father and two children in a car that Swiftwater rescue teams have been trying to rescue.
00:59You can see why the flash flood emergency was issued, the highest level of alert for flash flooding that is available, and this is not the only area that we're seeing issues today. When we kind of zoom out here, you can see some thunderstorms on the strong to severe side, but we also have other flash flood warnings in place, and some of these in eastern parts of Texas. Thankfully, nothing new in the hill country. We've been tracking the worst of this, but we could see more flooding here in the next 24 hours.
01:25We've got place.
