‘They’re a part of the family’: are you close to your pet?

With the RSPCA saying there has been a rise in cruelty towards people’s pets, we’re asking people around Wales if they’re close to their animals, and whether they’re a part of their family like anyone else.

00:11family i don't think um you can just buy a pet's love because they've got no concept have they

00:19you know so oh absolutely i spoil my dog whenever i have an opportunity um i don't see her as much

00:26but um whenever i dog sit i do not let her leave my side um i think it is absolutely appalling the

00:34fact that there are so many animals uh pets that can just be abandoned or neglected or even abused

00:42um i i could never picture even doing that to my dog yeah yeah yeah no difference there and you can

00:52understand why people who are dog lovers etc get so upset when things happen to their pets you know

00:58yeah understandable with me
