00:00Hey, what's up guys? Jose here at shreddeddad.com. In today's video, I'm comparing the Newell Bell
00:03adjustable dumbbells to the Snowed adjustable dumbbells. Newell Bell over here goes from 5 to
00:0880 pounds in 5 pound increments, so they're going to replace 16 pairs of dumbbells. Snowed goes from
00:1310 to 80 pounds in 10 pound increments, so they're going to replace 8 pairs of dumbbells. So 16 pairs
00:19to 8 pairs. Now, as far as the build goes, Snowed here is mostly made out of metal. Cast iron weight
00:24plates, even the base is cast iron, which is insane. I haven't seen that in other adjustable
00:28dumbbells. Then you have the handle, and then the inner rod is also made out of metal. The only
00:33plastic piece here is the dial here. Now coming over to the Newell Bell side, the weight plates are
00:38mostly metal. They do have hard plastic here where they interconnect, and then the housing here that
00:43holds all the internal components is also made out of hard plastic. So mostly metal, metal and some
00:49plastic. Now as far as size goes, the Newell Bell adjustable dumbbells are 17 inches in length. When
00:55you compare that to Snowed, these are 19 inches in length. So the Snowed adjustable dumbbells are
00:59slightly longer than the Newell Bell. As far as adjusting the dumbbells, Newell Bell here uses a rotating
01:05handle where the Snowed adjustable dumbbells have a fixed handle, and they use a dial here to make the
01:10changes. So I'm going to show you how that works. So Newell Bell here, this is what 5 pounds looks like on the
01:15Newell Bell. I'm going to turn it twice. So as you see, it's quick, and this is 15 pounds now. That's what it looks like.
01:22Now while I'm here, I'm going to show you what the weight plates look like. You can see that it's round
01:26all the way around, except for the bottom here. It's flat, and that's done so that they don't roll
01:30around when you place them on the floor. And when I come to Snowed here, I use this dial to turn.
01:35I'm going to turn it down to 10. So that's what it looks like when it starts. And then I'm going to set
01:41it to 30 by turning it a couple times. 10, 30. And that's what that looks like. So you can see Snowed
01:48is completely round as far as the weight plates go. When comparing the handles, the handle on the
01:54Newell Bell adjustable dumbbell is shorter and thinner in diameter than the handle on the Snowed
01:59adjustable dumbbells. And also this one over here has a bit more aggressive knurling. They're both
02:04very passive, but this one on the Snowed is a bit more aggressive. Now let's talk durability. I've had
02:09the Newell Bell here for over two years, never had a problem, never dropped them, and they're not
02:13recommended to be dropped because they have so many moving pieces. Over here is Snowed. Snowed has
02:18actually drop-proofed these up to 32 inches. I've done drop tests myself, and they continue to work
02:23without a problem. Of course, these are made mostly out of metal, so they're going to be very durable.
02:27Now when it comes to price, Newell Bell sells for $775. Snowed sells for $795. So there's a $20
02:34difference there. So that's my comparison between the Newell Bell adjustable dumbbells and the Snowed
02:39adjustable dumbbells. For an in-depth review with lots of pictures of both of these adjustable
02:43dumbbell dumbbells, I'll leave links down below in the description of this video. If you like the
