00:00Shane, let's start with you. We just heard the news before coming on air, of course, that this mega bull, it's passed.
00:08Did it ever look like it was in doubt that this wasn't going to happen?
00:13Well, I was going to predict before, when we were talking about it, when it was looking like the bill was coming up, that it's likely it will go.
00:19I was kind of hoping it wouldn't, to be honest, or it would be. It was only like, there was a lot more sort of in it than I thought.
00:25I thought it might be like the Senate, where there might be just like a single person who had hold the sway vote.
00:33But my opinion kind of on it is that I don't think all of the issues that were lumped into one bill should have been put through.
00:40I think they should have been sort of compartmentalized, and they should have been divided up.
00:44So I think there was too much in this bill for it all to go in one go.
00:50If you're talking about medical care, you're talking about taxes, you're talking about energy, I think all of these should have been decided individually.
00:57And I think that the system of lumping them all into one mega big beautiful bill is a little bit redundant now, I think, in modern politics.
01:05And I think it would favor maybe the British system or sort of the European system of looking at everything individually.
01:11So, yes, it's gone through, and, you know, it's sort of the mandate that Trump has is now being sort of, it's going to be put into reality.
01:19But I think we need to look at the wider system, and I don't think it's very efficient.
