00:00What's your opinions on cold callers? Police in Devon are urging residents to stay vigilant
00:05amidst reports of door-to-door selling. I'm Lily and I'll be bringing you your stories from across
00:10Devon with Mid-Devon Advertiser. The reminder follows reports of door-to-door sellers in
00:14residential areas who are trying to sell household items and cleaning products. The police say you
00:20are under no obligation to buy or even open the door for these sellers and you should never invite
00:25them into your house. Some people may find these situations intimidating so the police recommend
00:30installing a door chain or spy hole to decide whether you want to open the door. Anyone who is
00:36selling door-to-door should have a license and not just a badge without a photo. If you do see
00:41something suspicious report it to the police and in some circumstances it is appropriate to call 999.
