00:00The second and final date of the Russian Economic Forum in Belarus is underway, with a focus on food sovereignty among the organization's member countries.
00:21In the U.S., the Supreme Court ruled to limit federal judges' power to block presidential orders.
00:34And in Panama, members of the United People's Alliance will continue protesting to demand an end to the criminalization of demonstrations against the Social Security law.
00:47Hello and welcome to From the South.
00:52I'm Ana Marrero from the Telesur headquarters in Calacas, Venezuela.
00:55We'll be with the news.
00:56Are you with us?
00:57The second and final date of the Russian Economic Forum in Belarus is underway, with a focus on food sovereignty among the organization's member countries.
01:19During the day, the member countries of the Russian Economic Union discussed how food sovereignty is the foundation of true independence.
01:28They also discussed the development of the food industry, as well as the medical and social aspects of nutrition and food quality improvement.
01:38Meanwhile, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced that an informal summit of the Russian Economic Community will be held and criticized attacks on Iranian nuclear installations.
01:51The recent strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities under IAEA control are a most dangerous violation of international law, including the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the 1949 Geneva Conventions.
02:12I won't even mention the feelings that such actions evoke in Belarus, the country that suffered the most from the Chernobyl nuclear accident.
02:25On a video message to the Russian Summit, Iranian President Mansour Peshikian described U.S. and Israeli attacks as a violation of international law.
02:38I deeply regret that given the current development, I do not have the opportunity to participate in this important summit.
02:52Your Excellencies, as you know, the Zionist regime, starting from June 13, has carried out ruthless illegal armed attacks and terrorist actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
03:02This aggression occurred amidst indirect negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States regarding Iran's peaceful nuclear program.
03:10Even Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities were targeted.
03:15The military provocations by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities, which were under the full supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency, represent a blatant violation of all international regulations and an irreparable blow to the credibility of the non-proliferation regime by a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
03:34Moving on, during the news conference held in the sidelines of the Oration Summit in Minsk, Russian President Vladimir Putin and State Moscow saw readiness to hold the third round of peace talks with Ukraine.
03:53We agreed that we would continue further contacts with Ukraine after the completion of the exchanges and after the humanitarian action that we proposed, namely, the transfer of the bodies of the fallen servicemen.
04:07We have already returned over 6000 bodies and are ready to return almost 3000 more.
04:16But it is up to the Ukrainian side to accept the bodies of its fallen soldiers.
04:26We are ready to hold such a meeting in Istanbul.
04:30As for when exactly, the heads of the negotiating teams on both sides, and they, by the way, are regularly in touch, call each other all the time, and in my opinion this is not bad already, are now discussing the time for another meeting.
04:46Well, what will be the subject, the subject, in my opinion, should be the discussion of memoranda of both sides.
04:56And we continue changing topics.
04:58On Friday, Israeli occupation targets areas north of the Leitani River, implementing a fire bell tactic, intent to cause widespread destruction across southern Lebanon.
05:10Authorities registered one woman killed and other 20 civilians injured.
05:15This ride hit the Ali al-Tarihites with some explosions growing dangerously close to civilian homes in the town's outskirts.
05:27Firefighting crew battled wildfires that broke out and hurt by the forces areas as a result of the bombardment.
05:36The violation marks another of thousands since this fire took effect on November 27, 2024, and continued Israeli incursions into Lebanese border villages,
05:49daily drone attacks and violated Earth-rights threatening Lebanese infrastructure.
05:55And German citizens rallied to show their support for Palestine and to condemn Israeli aggressions in the region.
06:07Protesters mobilized under the slogan,
06:10We will continue to support Gaza and Holocytes no matter the challenges.
06:15The mobilization also expressed gratitude for the success of the recent attacks by the Yemeni army forces,
06:22and the continuation of the novel and aired block aid against Israel.
06:27The Yemeni people affirmed their full commitment to the leader of the revolution, Abdul Malik al-Houthi,
06:34to take the appropriate decisions in support of the Palestinian cause.
06:40And Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro held a fun conversation on Friday with the emir of the state of Qatar,
06:53Tamim bin Haman al-Tani.
06:56On an official statement, the government unveiled details of the call,
07:00in which the South American head of the state expressed his solidarity with the complex situation
07:07that Western Asia has been experiencing in recent weeks,
07:10and specifically the state of Qatar and his hopes that the recent response
07:15between Iran and the state of Israel is not just a pause,
07:19but the beginning of a true structural peace agreement for the entire region.
07:25For his support, the emir of Qatar said he had received Venezuela's proposal to convene a summit for peace
07:33and against war and highlight the nation's diplomatic efforts in favor of regional stability.
07:40Both leaders affirmed the bonds of friendship and closeness between their peoples and governments,
07:46confirming their willingness to continue the bilateral cooperation in all areas
07:51and agreed to maintain constant communication and to meet again to continue advancing on joint projects.

08:16Welcome back to From the South.
08:28On Friday, the US Supreme Court has ruled to limit federal judges' power to block presidential orders.
08:34The vote was decided 6-3 by nine-member bench during an emergency appeal related to the birthright citizens' case,
08:43where the conservative majority found that universal injunctions lightly exceeded the credible authority that Congress has given to federal courts.
08:56The decision came in response to the injunctions from federal courts in Washington, Maryland and Massachusetts,
09:03which sought to block President Donald Trump's ability to curtail the right to birthright citizenship.
09:11Justice Kenton, Jim Brown, Jackson and Sonia Sotomayor expressed a dirty dissension with the ruling,
09:19which has also been condemned by the American Civil Liberties Union.
09:24The US current trade deficit has increased by $138.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025,
09:37marking a record high in President Trump's trade war.
09:41The current account measured the flow of food services and investments into and out of the country,
09:48as well as in spending abroad.
09:53As a percentage of gross domestic products, the deficit increased by 1.8 percentage points to 6%,
10:01which is the highest level since the peak record in 2006.
10:06Experts and analysts agree that this 44% increase is the result of campaigns rushing to import goods before new tariffs are imposed,
10:15which are expected to continue.
10:21On Friday, China clarified statements made by US President Donald Trump's regarding analogous treatment with China on tariff.
10:31Beijing has clarified that it will review and approve applications for the export of control items in accordance with laws and regulations.
10:42According to the Geneva and London meetings, the United States will eliminate a series of restrictive measures against China in response.
10:50Ministry of Commerce spokesman Hei Jadon particularly warned two clarified statements about World Earth.
10:59He confirmed that a number of applications had been approved and noted that they will continue to strengthen the review and approval process for qualifying operations.
11:08On Friday, Indonesian President meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to discuss expanding the country's bilateral cooperation.
11:26The Malaysian Prime Minister was welcomed at the Halin Per Danas Kusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta by the Composite Honor Guard
11:36and a delegation from Indonesia, including a Minister of Investments, Offerun Affairs and Governor of Jakarta.
11:43The Ibrahim's official visit to Jakarta includes an important agenda, which includes a meeting with leaders from both countries.
11:50These meetings between Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur aims to maintain dialogues and the long-standing ties between the two countries.
11:59The Cambodian government has warned of rising tensions along the border with Thailand following a month of clashes in the Mon Bay region.
12:14Senate President Hun Sen ordered the deployment of security forces to the region and instruct them to remain unheard alert in the event of an armed conflict with Thailand.
12:25During his first visit to the province, Hun Sen states that Cambodia does not one word, but will stand firm against any hostile life force that tries to violate its sovereignty.
12:43In the Central African Republic, the government ignores three days of national march in 230 students killed in an accident at the Bartolomee Bungara High School in Bangkok.
12:55In this regard, President Faustin Archang also expressed his deepened condolences to the victims' families.
13:03The incident occurred a few meters from the National Assembly when some 5,000 students crowned an attempt to find the exit door of the school after the explosion of a generator.
13:16Ahead of next year's general election in Sweden, the far-right Sweden Democrats party issued a public apology for its Nazi's past.
13:32The apology came following a study to determine what people thought about the party's position of the system.
13:41Some of its current members described the past as despicable and reprehensible and apologised to the Swedish people.
13:51Party leader, Jamin Atkinson, repeatedly tried to distance the party from its extremist roots and rebranded its public image, even though it still supports xenophobic and discriminatory ideas.

15:22The Mexican government reports that its banking systems remain solid and is operating normally, indicating that the resources of the account holders of the three intervening institutions are saved.
15:39The Secretary of Finance and Public Credit, Edgar Amador, ensured that the Mexican banking systems remain solid and interrupted after the interventions made by the National Banking and Security Commission to two banks and at Brock Hitch House.
15:58Also, Amador explained that after the action of the U.S. Treasury Department, the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit maintained a permanent monitoring and consultation with the Bank of Mexico to evaluate market conditions.
16:19In Haiti, a major political and institutional crisis, former Prime Minister Claude Joseph was questioned for his alleged involvement in the assassination of former President Jovenel Moïse.
16:31The hearing was held at the Court of Appeal in Port-au-Prince as part of the investigation that has yet to be finally resolved.
16:40The sermon was issued by the examining ministered magistrate, Walter W. Voltaire, who has pointed several public figures as part of a complex and delicate plot.
16:53On this Friday, the Venezuelan government strongly rejected recent reports issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Voltaire Torque,
17:08condemning them as irresponsible beings and deeply politicized.
17:14Through an official statement, the Bolivarian government accused as hypothetical that someone who it mentioned has remained completely silent in the face of the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people,
17:27who has no utter word about the massacres creed out in Lebanon and Syria now seeks to give moral lessons to the Venezuelan people.
17:39In addition, Caracas warns, Mr. Torque has chosen to become an operative for the interests of U.S. imperial power,
17:47even traveling to Washington to receive instructions on protecting and legitimizing Venezuelan tourism groups operating from abroad with total impunity,
17:56adding that from there he orchestrated campaigns to undermine Venezuela's democratic institutions without any success.
18:04furthermore, the statements denounced his complicit discipline in the face of the kidnapping of 252 Venezuelan citizens,
18:15reminding them in subhuman conditions in the concentration camps in El Salvador without due to passes or contact with their families,
18:24and prompts questions about his concern for human rights.
18:28Finally, the committee stressed that Mr. Volker Torque does not defend human rights, he exploits them politically,
18:36adding that his turner seeks to undermine the credibility and effectiveness of the Office of the High Commissioner
18:44in collusion with centers of powers that promote wars, economic blockades and regime change,
18:53and closed by reforming Venezuela's commitment to true human rights, peace, social justice and respect for people.
19:02And moving on, the government of Venezuela is working on the restoration of the main roads in the state of Merida,
19:26after the heavy rainfalls of the last few days.
19:30In the Merideño moorland, some roads were devastated by the flooding of the Chama River,
19:37which destroyed nearly 16 bridges and dozens of houses.
19:41The Venezuelan authorities are working on the opening of an alternative road to allow the transit of residents,
19:50as well as the transfer of corpses to other parts of the country.
19:54On the other hand, the authorities confirmed the establishment of more than 70% of public services,
20:00such as water, electricity and internet.
20:08In Colombia, the death toll following a landslide in Antioquia rose to 16.
