00:29of faith isn't doubt which is merely a symptom but fear we live today in an age of profound anxiety
00:40it's crippling actually at the heart of this fear because that's what it is is a loss of confidence
00:48a lack of faith in who we are and in whose we are it's a crisis of identity and a crisis of belonging
00:59and it's a live issue in society right now particularly amongst younger generations
01:08but in the midst of this crisis the bible speaks a word love god is love writes saint john and perfect
01:20love casts out fear for christians it is within the love of god that we find our identity and our place
01:32of belonging not as temporal things that are fluid or up for grabs but as firm foundations on which we
01:42can stand fear erodes confidence in the truth and breeds insecurity perfect love delights in the truth
