00:00Well, earlier this Tuesday, both Israel and Iran accepted a ceasefire plan to end the 12-day war.
00:06That truce was proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, but just a few hours after it was announced,
00:11Israel accused Iran of breaking the ceasefire, an accusation that has been denied by Iran.
00:17The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirming the ceasefire,
00:21but his defense minister says Israel will continue striking Iran in the wake of what it says was a violation.
00:27Iran now also saying Israel conducted its own strikes after the ceasefire.
00:32Well, we're going to talk more about the situation there with our Catherine Norris-Trent,
00:35who joins me from the southern Israeli city of Beersheba.
00:38Catherine, what's the latest from where you are?
00:45Hello there, Jeannie.
00:46Well, I am in front of the wreckage of a building which was hit at around 6.30 a.m. local time.
00:55And as you can see, if we move over this way a bit, you can see the damage was there.
01:00Now, we were told this was a direct hit from an Iranian missile just before that ceasefire was due to officially kick in.
01:10And what we were told by officials down here at the site is that the missile struck the building coming in diagonally.
01:16And so it hit a series of safe rooms.
01:20These are reinforced rooms which many Israeli houses have built onto the side of their buildings for shelter.
01:27But because they took a direct hit from this missile, they were basically totally taken out.
01:33And that is why there's been a number of fatalities down here this morning.
01:37Our team has spoken with rescue workers, one of whom said he'd pulled at least four bodies out of the rubble.
01:43Other people reported injured here.
01:46So this coming just minutes before the ceasefire was due to kick in, again, is a scene which is really shocking Israelis this morning.
01:55And in the early hours of this morning, we saw barrages.
01:59Air raid after air raid came into Israeli airspace.
02:03This hit so far the heaviest among them.
02:05Since then, of course, we've heard about incoming missile fire in the north of Israel.
02:12Iran's defence minister has blamed Iran, saying it's violated the ceasefire.
02:20Iran has denied that.
02:21We have spoken to two separate independent witnesses who saw missiles coming over and one of them who heard explosions up there in the north of Israel.
02:30So, of course, while we can't confirm independently the source, the direct strikes, we know that they were intercepted.
02:37There were sounds of interceptions this morning over northern Israel.
