00:00The first phase of the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is set to end in two weeks.

00:05Donald Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Whitkoff, says phase two talks

00:10will go ahead in the coming days.

00:12Phase two is absolutely going to begin.

00:15We had very, very productive and constructive calls this morning about the sequencing of

00:20phase two, setting forth positions on both sides so we can understand, level set where

00:27we are today, and then continuing talks this week at a location to be determined.

00:33President Trump and I are working in full cooperation with the Israeli Prime Minister

00:38Benjamin Netanyahu and officials from Egypt and Qatar, who serve as mediators.

00:45Netanyahu's office issued a statement saying that in coordination with the U.S. Presidential

00:50Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Whitkoff, he has today instructed the negotiations team

00:55to leave for Cairo tomorrow in order to discuss the continued implementation of the first

01:00stage of the deal, adding that the teams would then receive instructions regarding second

01:04stage negotiations.

01:08Israel's security cabinet meets on Monday to discuss the second phase, which involves

01:11Hamas releasing dozens of remaining hostages in exchange for more Palestinian prisoners,

01:17a lasting truce and the withdrawal of Israeli forces.

01:21While he's protesting to seek the release of hostages, our urging him to continue negotiations

01:26and not kill the deal.

01:28We need to get the hostages back.

01:31From day one we knew that it was not in the best interest of our government to bring them

01:36home.

01:37We realized that, so we had to put pressure, as much pressure as we could.

01:43The Israel-Hamas deal is fragile.

01:46This Monday marks 500 days since the 7th of October attack.

01:50Both sides accusing the other of ceasefire violations.
