00:13Visiting the site and speaking with workers around four months after the State Government made the extraordinary move to force the Steelworks into administration.
00:21Of the $2.4 billion support package announced in February, a big chunk of that is set aside for a new owner to invest in the future of the site.
00:30The Premier says there's confidence in how the process is tracking and that it's a starkly different vibe in Wayella compared to the start of the year.
00:38He says there's been significant interest in the Steelworks.
00:41There are so far been at least 33 interested parties in acquiring the Steelworks and a majority of those, in fact over 60% of those, come from overseas including very significant global steel makers.
00:56The State and Federal Governments alongside the Local Council also unveiled completed upgrades to the city's airport.
01:02Something both levels of government say shows an investment in Wayella's future.
01:07While today's announcement is another step in the process, they're still a long way ahead for the future of the Steelworks and Wayella.
