00:12Chief of Staff Kaz Rourke has released a statement for the first time since the events of Monday
00:18saying our team is devastated by the attack on Helen Haynes this week. Helen is adored
00:23by her team. Most of us were in the office when the incident occurred and some of us
00:28were involved in Helen's immediate care so this has been deeply traumatic for the
00:32team. The office remains closed to the public but our team is working in the
00:37background and plan towards reopening later this week. Sorry, next week. As I could see too that the
00:45floral tributes behind you and in front of the office just seems to be growing. The floral tributes
00:54have not stopped. As you can see behind me this has just been an ongoing event in the
00:59otherwise pretty regular main street of this city. We have had people stopping continually,
01:05some have actually detoured from interstate trips to drop by and show their support. We've been
01:11approached by people who just want to talk about their own personal experience with Helen Haynes,
01:16someone who's deeply loved in this community and from afar.
