Over 5,000 Chinese spouses in Taiwan have provided documentation confirming the cancellation of their household registration in China, the government says. Some 12,000 Chinese spouses of Taiwanese nationals have been given until the end of the month to renounce their Chinese residency or risk losing their right to stay in Taiwan.
