India's brand new Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) channeling Gen Z concerns has gone viral, overtaking Instagram followers of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), discussing issues like politics, inflation and unemployment - with a touch of humor. The group's 30-year-old founder, Abhijeet Dipke, said the CJP was so named because of comments by Chief Justice Surya Kant last week comparing some unemployed youth to cockroaches. -REUTERS

00:06The Honourable Chief Justice of India made a comment on the youth comparing them with
00:10parasites and cockroaches for just expressing their opinions. So I just posted from my personal
00:15handle what if all cockroaches come together and on that tweet I got huge traction especially
00:21from the Gen Z that we should all come together and we should start our own platform and stuff
00:25like that. So I just made the criteria to join this party you have to be lazy you have to
00:29be
00:29chronically online you have to be unemployed. The same exact words the Chief Justice of India
00:34used to insult and deeming the youth.
00:43So there is a huge chunk about 60 to 70 percent of the graduates who doesn't have a job which
00:49means
00:50having a degree in India right now is not no longer a leverage but a liability and if you don't
00:56address
00:56these issues and if you don't even acknowledge it so obviously the youth will be frustrated
01:02by it. So I think this has been there for quite some years now and the cockroach Janata Party
01:07has just become an outlet. One should know where does cockroach exist. They exist in a place
01:14which is rotten. So is the system so rotten that the cockroaches are coming out in such a huge number.
01:22We have to think about that.
