McPhillips celebrate winning the Company of the Year award at the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards.

00:00Alright, so here with Philips, what's your reaction to winning the award tonight?

00:05An absolute privilege. Really, really strong competition. We didn't expect it at all.

00:10But, you know, we've been a big part of Shropshire for the last 61 years.

00:15A big local employer and we're really, really pleased to have been recognised by this award.

00:22So, second time we've won it, which is the last time back in 2010.

00:26So, it's really good to win it in the 25th year of the Chamber of Commerce.

00:31So, yeah, absolutely.

00:34And you've had a big year, haven't you?

00:36What have been the standout projects for you guys this year?

00:39Probably, we've done a very diverse project for Chester Zoo,

00:45which is something really, really different for us, which has just been delivered,

00:50which is very, very successful.

00:52But, you know, we've been doing a lot for Burleigh City Council,

00:55we've been doing a lot for local Shropshire Council.

00:59Telfin Rican, we're with Telfin Rican currently.

01:03We're working throughout the West Midlands and the North West.

01:06So, yeah, I'm stuck for words, if I'm honest.

01:10Yeah, final question, whatever you're coming up,

01:13what's exciting for you guys on the horizon for the next 12 months?

01:15The next 60 years!

01:17We're working with a great bunch of partners that we've built up over many, many years.

01:23So, as Andrew alluded to, we're working with Chester Zoo,

01:27we're working with lots of animal welfare and lots of clients of a similar outcome.

01:34But we can offer diverse opportunities to all sorts of people because we employ local people,

01:40that we train, that are just like Philips.

01:45And it is so brave, and we are so brave, that we've won this award tonight.
