00:00And doctor, with its military doctrine in complete disarray and with Iran's airspace exposed,
00:07what options does the supreme leader have?
00:09Well, the supreme leader, I mean, what has transpired in the last week is a testimony
00:17to the incompetence and the thoughtlessness of the supreme leader to have subjected the
00:25Iranian nation to an attack of this nature without the capability of being able to provide
00:31any kind of meaningful defense to either the territory or integrity of the Iranian nation,
00:38as well as the safety of its people.
00:40They have nothing.
00:42They essentially are incapable.
00:44But again, going back to my previous answer, if Israel was to try and mount some kind of
00:51a land operation, it is possible for them to be able to provide some kind of resistance
00:57against that.
00:58That would not be an easy thing.
00:59But right now, shooting targets from the air in a country that has no air defense, in a country
01:09that has no meaningful air force that can remotely match the kind of quality aircraft that is
01:17in the possession of the Israeli air force, minus a navy that can incur or do any kind of serious
01:25damage to Israel from, you know, from, you know, on the shores of, away from Iran, all of these
01:33things means that the supreme leader is just relying upon rhetoric and a rhetoric that he can't match.
01:42The previous guest suggested that they could try and prolong the war, which is their gut feeling
01:49and wanting to do that.
01:51But unlike the Iran-Iraq war, which they were able to extend for a period of eight years,
01:57they are just simply do not have the resources to continue.
02:00And you have to bear in mind that the Iranian public is not the same as what it was back in 1980
02:06when the war against Saddam Hussein started.
02:09The supreme leader takes a measure of comfort in the fact that airstrikes cannot necessarily
02:15lead to regime change.
02:17And here he cites the example of Saddam Hussein, who was under aerial attack for a number of
02:23years.
02:24And it was not unless until such time that Iraq was invaded that his regime fell.
02:30And he doesn't see any chance of America or anyone else wanting to invade Iran.
02:35But once the dust settles, he has to respond to the needs of the people.
02:41He is in a much weaker position.
02:43Iran's economy, which was already in tatters, is going to be far worse off.
02:48Already the banking system in Iran has collapsed.
02:51People don't have access to many, many things, petrol, this, that, the other.
02:56Once the dust settles, he is going to be facing an enormous amount of pressure.
03:02And no matter how much he's going to rely on his forces of repression, but those people
03:08are Iranians at the end of the day.
03:10And it's questionable how long they will continue, you know, siding with him as we move into the
03:16future.
03:16You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
03:19You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
03:19You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
03:21I'm not going to have a problem.
03:22You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
03:23You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
03:24You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
03:25You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
03:26You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
03:27You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
03:29You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
03:30You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
03:31You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
03:33You know, I'm not going to have a problem.
