Classic Motor Day at Apley farm Shop returns soon

We venture to the Apley Farm Shop, between Bridgnorth and Telford, which will soon be hosting a huge car show with hundreds of vehicles.

00:15Classic Motor Day and it's on Sunday the 20th of July at Appley Farm Shop here. And how many vehicles

00:23are we expecting to be involved in? We're expecting at least 300, last year we had 415 so hopefully

00:29we should get a similar number. That's immense isn't it? It's a big event and it's free for

00:34customers to come as well. It's a win-win for everybody, yep. And we've got a special bit of

00:41kit behind you, what is this beast? So this is a Fordstone Super Major tractor that Appley Estate

00:48bought new in 1959 to work in our woods and we've had it for 66 years now and we're still using it

00:55in the woods even now. That's great, I mean I guess I'm thinking in the woods the scale of it probably

01:01is quite useful, it's not too big is it? It's not huge like modern tractors so we can get it down

01:07between between trees and into less accessible places as well. So what happens if a park goes on

01:14something like this? Are they easy to get hold of or can you kind of you know bodge them and and they

01:18kind of you know pair of tights like the old days on a car? Well you can you can fix most things on

01:23them with a hammer but most of the parts are easily available. Great stuff. We can keep it going.
