As employers move slowly towards greater inclusivity Darwin Workability Expo offers people with disabilities the opportunity to connect with employers face to face.

00:00For people with disabilities, this is not just another jobs expo.
00:06It's a chance to unlock a world of opportunities in the top end.
00:10I think I haven't got the talent. I haven't got nothing to do.
00:15So I'm proving myself and proving them how far we will make it.
00:22Workers like Sean Melville, who has big dreams and is focused on his future.
00:27And that's why I got into Boston's filming industry and I like it very good.
00:35And I was teaching people, don't look back into the past.
00:42The Workability Expo aims to help people with disabilities find meaningful employment
00:47with 21 employers and service providers taking part.
00:52It's really about just providing information so people can go away
00:55and make the decisions that work for them.
00:58Those in the disability employment space say the benefits can be huge
01:02for both workers and businesses.
01:05The benefits are creating a more accepting society.
01:10You know, we're enacting change through filmmaking.
01:14If you include people with disability in employment,
01:18you're learning different skills as well.
01:21So it's actually beneficial for everybody.
01:24Finding work for anyone can be a life changing experience.
01:28And that's exactly what this event aims to deliver.
01:32For job seekers with a disability,
01:35the path to employment can be difficult to navigate.
01:38But events like these are designed to change that.
01:43Knocking on doors for those starting their career journey.
