00:00I am very lucky right now my full-time job is rescuing. I realized that the
00:10overpopulation was a big crisis here on the island. I would see a skinny dog
00:17here, just groups of malnourished dogs. I contacted a lot of vets and they
00:23weren't able to help me so that's when I started to do things on my own. I have a
00:28possible rescue this morning. I usually have a few recipes to do, so I go to
00:33another location and help out some more strays.
00:39They're so cute! After rescue, I go to different areas and feed the strays. A lot of the
00:51dogs spend their entire day looking for food so they're usually severely
00:55underweight. Especially when we have a mom dog who's having to feed puppies as
01:04well as herself. After feeding the strays, I try to help out at the center. The
01:10center is the only shelter on the island that actually houses dogs and puppies.
01:13The center has been a huge supporter of what I've been doing on the island so I
01:17spend a lot of my time there. Whether it's socializing with the puppies and
01:24getting some kisses and hugs in. I mean, who wouldn't want to spend time with
01:29puppies? It has been a wild ride to say the least. I can now add master dog catcher
01:37to my resume. It is not easy, but it's something I wake up and choose every day
01:45and I couldn't be happier.
