New Delhi June 17, 2025 (ANI): Congress leader Supriya Shrinate criticized the BJP, accusing it of historically neglecting marginalized communities like Dalits, OBCs, and tribals. She questioned the party’s sincerity on conducting a caste census, pointing out that the recent gazette notification fails to explicitly mention it. Shrinate said this omission, combined with the BJP’s "track record of lying and unfulfilled promises," raises serious doubts about the government's intentions.On Caste census notification, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate said "The reality is that the BJP has never stood for the people who are marginalised. The BJP and RSS have always stood against the Dalits, OBCs and tribals... Have you seen the caste census being mentioned in the gazette notification? The answer to that is no, it is not mentioned. Why is the caste census not explicitly mentioned in the gazette notification? The reason why a lot of people have doubts, including us, is that you (BJP) have a track record of lying and then not fulfilling your promise..."
