New Delhi, June 17, 2025 (ANI): On the caste census notification, Congress MP Manickam Tagore said, "The census has been announced by the government, which was to be done in 2021, but it was delayed due to the Covid pandemic. Since LoP Rahul Gandhi has been raising the issue of caste census in Parliament for a long time, the government announced caste census after the cabinet meeting, but no money has been allocated for it... The caste census has not even been specified in the notification... There should not be a caste census just for the sake of name, there should be a caste census based on the Telangana model..."
00:00The census has been announced by the government and it is a delayed census and 2021 it should have happened and the reason of COVID then they delayed it and because leader of opposition Rahul Gandhiji has been demanding for a cash census they announced after the cabinet meeting that the cash census will be conducted.
00:22But now there is no money allotted for it also. Money is only meager money has been allotted and the cash census has not been specified in the census also.
00:33Again whether Mr. Amisha and Modi is trying for the jumlah part the way they were promising many things in the past 11 years it may be doubling the income of the farmers it may be 15 lakh rupees per after taking the black money all this kind of jumlahs we have seen it this should not also be a jumlah of Mr. Amisha.
00:55We hope that we will continue to demand for a specific time period and have allocation of the funds as well as the cash census to be done because cash census in the Telangana model is more important.
01:08Namke was the namesake cash census is going to be like a Bihar model which is not going to be useful it is going to be only count in the 74 parameters have been used in Telangana model and I am going to write to the standing committee OBC chairperson also that we should call the Telangana model we should study about the Telangana model cash survey also.
01:35Because the government of India's intentions we are not able to understand because they were completely opposing the cash census a year before now suddenly they had taken a U-turn and they had accepted cash census because of the pressure Rahul Gandhiji has been able to mount on them even in the parliament also.
01:56Therefore we demand that one they should increase the amount of expenditure allocation of the funds two cash census Telangana model cash census should be clearly mentioned because still there is a vague word about only census and we want specific clarification on the part of the cash census.
