00:00All smiles here on the second day of the annual G7 summit as world leaders cozy
00:08up for a group photo in Western Canada. But this year Canada's Mark Carney will
00:15be wrapping up his first major summit as Prime Minister with one less leader
00:19present. We had a just a really great relationship with everybody. I wish I
00:25could stay for tomorrow but they understand this is big stuff.
00:32The quote big stuff in question, the escalating situation in the Middle East
00:36as Israel continues to strike targets in Iran.
00:43On Monday, Trump called for the evacuation of Tehran on his Truth Social platform,
00:48putting the strikes down to Iran choosing to not sign a nuclear deal.
00:51I gave Iran 60 days and they said no. And the 61st, you saw what happened. Day 61.
01:03So I'm in constant touch. And as I've been saying, I think a deal will be signed or something will
01:09happen, but a deal will be signed. And I think Iran is foolish not to sign one.
01:14G7 leaders did agree on a statement affirming Israel's right to self-defense,
01:19despite earlier indications that Trump wouldn't agree to cause for de-escalation.
01:27And before his early exit, Trump officially signed a trade agreement
01:30with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
01:32And we just signed a document. This is, sorry about that.
01:40Very important document.
01:43Albeit with some confusion on the details on Trump's end.
01:46We just signed it and it's done. And so we have our trade agreement with the European Union.
01:54And it's a fair deal for both.
01:56But for the other leaders at the summit, the show goes on,
02:00with those remaining left to try and put up a united front in an increasingly divided world.
