00:00Good morning everyone, bonjour tout le monde.
00:29Welcome to Kananaskis and the 2025 G7 Leaders Summit.
00:36I'm pleased all leaders are here, honoured by your presence.
00:39We're meeting at one of those hinge moments, those turning points in history.
00:42The world's more divided and dangerous.
00:45Hostile states and terrorists have expanded their capabilities and their reach,
00:49threatening global security in our local communities.
00:53Global commerce, energy systems, even intelligence are all being rewired.
00:58Nostalgia isn't a strategy.
01:01We have to change with the times and to build a better world.
01:05And some of you, such as you, Mr. President, have anticipated these massive changes
01:10and are taking bold measures to address them.
01:13All of us around this table are reinforcing our militaries and security services for the new world.
01:20But we all know that there can be no security without economic prosperity.
01:26And no prosperity without resilience.
01:28And in a world where shocks flow across the borders, that resilience comes from cooperation.
01:34Cooperation around, that starts around this table.
01:37Well, I have to be back.
01:47Very important.
01:48I want to just thank our great host.
01:50He did a fantastic job.
01:51Thank you in Canada.
01:53But you probably see what I see.
01:56And I have to be back as soon as I can.
01:59And have dinner with these wonderful leaders.
02:02And then I get on the plane and I have to be back early.
02:05Have you directed a National Security Council to meet this situation?
02:07I loved it.
02:07I tell you, I loved it.
02:09And I think we got a lot done.
02:10Really a lot done.
02:12In fact, UK, we signed a big trade deal today.
02:15And we're working on others.
02:17But we had just a really great relationship with everybody.
02:21And it's really nice.
02:22I wish I could stay for tomorrow.
02:23But they understand.
02:25This is big stuff.
02:26Is there a reason, Mr. President, that you can't do your business from here?
02:28Do you have questions for anybody else?
02:29Have you agreed to do your business from here?
02:31Is there a reason you can't do your business from here, sir?
02:36We've got a bit more work to do, so we'll go do it over dinner.
02:39But thank you very much.
02:39Mr. Carney, have you been briefed on this?
02:41I'm very grateful for the President's presence.
02:45Are you going to happen to be okay on Iran?
02:46And I fully understand why he must return.
02:50We'll see you on the plane.
02:51Thank you very much.
02:51Thank you, Mr. President.
