00:00Off we go into the start of a game that I said was this amazing or should be amazing clash of

01:43and I'm quite sure you didn't like those yourself. Well those are the worst type of shots to deal with

01:59the crowd you get keeping it and I think they they they don't understand we have different ways

03:05protection the referee says free kick Ray. Well on this occasion it'll be interesting to see the replay but
03:12on this occasion I didn't think there was a foul it looked like a perfectly fair leap got way above
03:17the goalkeeper here we see it eyes on the ball Haaland no for me I can't protect the goalkeeper that is
03:25a great header by Haaland his arms are nowhere near the goalkeeper he's just jumped for the ball
03:30and got a header and for me Norway now should be in front

06:50I think to be fair that it probably took a deflection off
06:53Ramirez there as he tried to drive with it looked as though it skipped off his foot and therefore
06:58dipped off over the top of Campos in goal here we see he sets it up on his right foot
07:03and as Ramirez comes across it just takes a deflection
07:06off his shin and that just lifts it high in the air and lands it on the roof of the nest
07:10high one where's Flo there he is he gets a header to it and
07:22well I did say it was something like a the plumage of a tropical bird flying through the jungle at times
07:29well he found his perch there all right watch this
07:32well Flo got right up above his marker there Ramirez uh no chance of heading that ball a little
07:40bit over the top that time metaphorically speaking and now we get this free kick
07:49a lot of activity in the penalty area and it comes ribbon low this time almost taking the Norwegian defense on
07:56up it's bobbing and suddenly they're looking dangerous shot a goal there and Torsted
08:04I think was uh the master of that a shot there by Garcia
08:10and Torsted had it well covered boyden open out again almost getting it through to Leon Hartson
08:27and suddenly the Mexicans have come alive again Ray well yes and I think we all thought that they
08:32were finished and that Norway would be the side to go on and win the game but they are having a little
08:36spell now but again as we've said in Contra before every side does have a little spell of pressure
08:41against you and you've got to be able to handle that and get back to playing your game afterwards
08:45and uh and certainly this is a little spell that just Norway need to hang in there keep playing what
08:51they believe in and they'll come through it and no doubt put the Mexicans back under pressure again
08:55but that was a bad piece of play by Mexican midfield they were lucky to get the ball back again
09:00Hugo Sanchez and I think uh referee blows free kick
09:10and we're going to have a substitution that one we were talking about

10:59well the Norwegians are back in the hills at the moment the longest shot and again superbly saved
11:07they're really raining them down there and the man we've been criticizing for lack of pace in
11:12midfield decides to let blast himself well that's what he should have been doing all the game and
11:17what he hasn't been doing he's committed a Norwegian defense midfield player taking the ball on and had
11:22a strike himself and that's the first time he's been this far forward best section of the game so far by a
11:28long way there's no side Lucas Sanchez
11:34such a a a typical acrobatic effort there by Sanchez well he's probably the the best exponent of the
11:42bicycle kick in the present day game look at the athleticism of the man and that was only a yard
11:48wide as we can see and for me again Ray but he did score at Wembley as well you know you're enjoying

13:35Fjortoft little boss through great chance here oh it's gone it's the first goal
13:43a beautifully taken goal there as Regdial the substitute
13:48running it at the right time and perhaps no more than Norway deserve
13:53well that's a commentator's dream when you say everything's going to go to the end
14:01and then even as he was fouled I think the run forward by Regdial

14:11and that comes as a very special bonus but I really do
14:16not take back what I was saying there Ray I think some players wanted a draw
14:19well I think you've got to praise the referee there because we've been a little critical of him at some stage in the game
14:25he did so well then to let the advantage go because certainly Fjortoft was fouled there
14:31but he allowed the play to go and allowed Regdial to go on and put the Norwegian team 1-0 up
14:36but I'm so pleased for Norway because I have a lot of friends out in Norway
14:40and I know what they'll be how they'll be celebrating tonight if this result stays the way that it is and let's be fair
14:46over 70 odd minutes of this game they deserve to be in front well we had some Guinness last night for the Irish
14:52what do we drink for the Norwegians I think somebody will have to let us know that and certainly they
14:56they fairly deserve that lead I think we'll have a lager probably
15:00right in the center circle now is Ramirez putting it forward
15:04well there's no doubt about it the
15:10latter part of this half has provided the best excitement and then there came that lull when I
15:17expected the players just to be wanting a nice cold shower
15:25look at that nod of players in the penalty it goes for a low one

16:16and then all of a sudden I think it was Sanchez who was was right on the goal line and it could
16:21only have been a yard out and somehow headed it onto the post it was the most it would go down
16:27as the biggest miss in this tournament without a shadow now they get the chance again Hugo Sanchez
16:32trying to go to it I think the old Hugo Sanchez would have put that away up it goes again and they
16:39really are under great pressure chip right across the goal and then it goes to Torsted but I think

16:48wonderful ending to this game so never mind Hugo Sanchez putting it away I think you might have
16:53put it away now well I don't know very much look at that I mean that is incredible he's not even
16:59the yard it wasn't Sanchez it was Alves who did it but it doesn't matter who it was I mean he was
17:04literally a foot off the line and headed it on to the crossbar well he has a scorer he scored in the
17:11the qualifying rounds he scored six goals so he can't put them away
17:23remarkable ending to a game that was rather tame for the most part
17:27look to be petering out the players glad to get in and then Norwood took the lead and the great response
17:35by the Mexicans still going on not enough players in the box though two minutes into stoppage time

18:32and you really have to fault the Mexicans at the final whistle goes they've lost this game
18:37Norway have won it but what uh an attitude by the Norwegians as opposed to the Mexicans
18:43it was much more positive and you've got to criticize the Mexicans because that last spot in the last
18:49five minutes or even the last three minutes why not more of that well they say that you get out
18:55this game what you put into it and uh that miss that the Mexicans had there in the last minute
19:01I think that so that they didn't deserve that equalizing goal and uh it just shows how things
19:07work out for you in the end well there we are that's the the final score
19:13and these supporters from Norway as you can guess delighted
