00:00Cup this season showed one change, with wing-back Michael Gray fit to return.
00:04It was his first start in six matches.
00:06The Dons still have injury problems, but Herman Haridison was back in defence
00:10after missing four games with a knee injury.
00:12At the Stadium of Light for us was Tony Gubber.
00:17Alex Ray will take the corner for Sunderland.
00:21Just over two minutes played.
00:25Wimbledon struggling to clear it from the danger area.
00:27Craddock gets it back.
00:30Gray.
00:30Here's Craddock, left foot.
00:33First chance to Sunderland, and it's come very early in the match.
00:41There's Michael Hughes now for Wimbledon.
00:44Under the foot of Ewell.
00:46Badir's shot.
00:54Quinn's header, well directed.
00:56Goes straight back to Niall Quinn.
00:58Here's Kevin Phillips out wide.
01:04Oh, that was well done by Kevin Phillips.
01:09It was watched all the way by Neil Sullivan.
01:16Anderson.
01:18Ewell.
01:20Squeezes it out to Badir.
01:22Good strike.
01:22Needed to stick as well.
01:24Well, Sorensen made sure he kept a grip of it.
01:28Well, that's two good strikes that Khalid Badir has had for Wimbledon.
01:36Still scoreless.
01:40Came off Quinn.
01:41Oh, that's a hard-hearted punch by Sorensen.
01:44He's lucky to gather it in.
01:47Phillips.
01:49Quinn's header.
01:52All right, loops from Quinn's head towards the top corner.
02:00He's making.
02:01Watched by Badir.
02:04Into Kilban.
02:08Good cross.
02:09Good cross.
02:09Good cross.
02:10Quinn.
02:12He had too long, did he?
02:19Hariderson's defensive header.
02:22Sutherland can try again.
02:24Here's now Quinn.
02:26Kilban.
02:27Phillips.
02:29Well, the flag had gone up anyway.
02:32But it was a wonderful save.
02:34Academic as it may have been from Neil Sullivan.
02:44It's a free kick given by the referee.
02:47He was further away from the incident than his assistant.
02:50He was being admonished by Michael Gray for not signalling free kick likewise.
02:54It's given anyway.
02:58And Gale missed it.
02:59Quinn.
03:00Oh, yes.
03:02Niall Quinn.
03:09In his 34th year.
03:12And still able to do the business.
03:15Not just in the air.
03:18But on the ground as well.
03:20It's his 13th goal of the season.
03:27Kept in play by Gray.
03:30Oh, there's a chance here for Lund.
03:32But the flag's gone up for offside.
03:33And he missed anyway.
03:43Headed on by Lund.
03:45That's Makin's heading.
03:48Lund back to Michael Hughes.
03:51It's deflected.
03:52It hit a heel.
03:54And Michael Hughes has got Wimbledon back on level terms.
03:58Courtesy of a cruel deflection.
04:04Gray will take the corner for Sunderland.
04:08Still 1-1.
04:13This is Craddock.
04:15Another corner on the other side, is it?
04:18Oh, it's still in there.
04:19Yes.
04:20Killed that.
04:23It's 2-1 Sunderland.
04:28Cleverly kept in play.
04:30When Wimbledon thought that it had already gone behind.
04:42It's still in play.
04:43Here's Phillips.
04:45Took it down well.
04:47He's got Blackwell backpedalling.
04:51Ray steadies himself.
04:55Hughes with the throw.
04:57Here's Anderson.
05:02Headed up by Craddock.
05:04Cunningham gets it down.
05:06It's too high.
05:07But only just...
05:11Here's Jump.
05:13Certainly got players to look for up front now, Wimbledon.
05:16Sorensen just palms it down.
05:18Gale.
05:20Gale.
