Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch asserts the answer to the problems in Scotland “does not involve more devolution”. 00:06No other party has that same fundamental belief in the Union as we do.

00:10It is in our party's very name.

00:12And when we stand together, we stand together to defend our national security.

00:17When we cooperate to enhance our economic strength,

00:20we know that we are the Conservative and Unionist Party.

00:24We know what we stand for and we will always be proud of it.

00:27The answer to these problems must involve a reassertion of our Conservative economic principles.

00:34The belief that it is business and entrepreneurship, not government or politicians, who create growth.

00:41If you believe that, then you are a Conservative. No other party believes this.

00:45And if you believe that your earnings belong to you

00:48and the government should have to justify what it's going to do with your money,

00:52then you are a Conservative.

00:53Scotland suffers the highest tax burden in the UK,

00:58yet Scots face £1.7 billion worth of tax rises this year.
