00:00There are always talks of leadership challenges, but we need to focus on the message that the public gave,
00:05and that is that they are not yet ready to trust Conservatives.
00:09And my heart goes out to all of those Conservative councillors who lost their seats.
00:13We lost control of a lot of councils where we were delivering better services for lower taxes.
00:18This was not their fault, but it is because of the record that we had after 14 years.
00:23A lot of people still do not trust the Conservative brand, and it is my job as leader of the opposition to change that.
00:28And that is why I'm here at a school doing the job that the country has given us of opposition, talking about education.
00:35I'm very worried about Labour's schools bill. I'm very worried about some of the changes they've made.
00:40We're the ones who got them to U-turn on teachers' pay. They were going to cut teachers' pay.
00:44We're talking about banning phones in schools. I'm at a school here that does just that.
00:48They've said it's made a world of difference. That's what our job is right now.
