00:00I'm here at a business that is worried about whether they're going to exist next year.
00:04Unicorn is one of the companies that supplies the oil and gas industry.
00:08And what is going to be crucial at this by-election is sending a message to the Labour government
00:13by sending a pro-oil and gas candidate.
00:16Labour is killing oil and gas.
00:18Douglas Lumsden, the Scottish Conservative candidate,
00:21is the only person standing on this by-election who's going to fight for this sector.
00:25And we also want pro-UK residents in Aberdeen to unite behind Douglas
00:30so that we can also send a message to the SNP.
00:33Everyone knows that the Conservatives nearly won this seat just earlier this month.
00:37We're only 1,000 votes behind.
00:39So we're going to be fighting for the oil and gas sector,
00:41for companies like Unicorn and for the people who are pro-UK in Aberdeen.
00:46And what about Makerfield? Have you got a chance of winning there?
00:48Well, we've never won Makerfield, certainly not in my lifetime.
00:52But what worries me is that the Makerfield by-election has been created
00:56to sort out an internal Labour Party problem.
