Cowboys minicamp: Parsons participates in drills, Schotty praises Ezeiruaku, & more

Bobby Belt breaks down the latest from Cowboys minicamp. Micah Parsons caught everyone’s attention when he joined defensive line drills despite ongoing contract talks. Rookie pass rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku impressed coaches with his skills. After starting minicamp with the twos, Jake Ferguson returned to practicing with the ones. Meanwhile, Trayvon Diggs told the media that his goal is to be ready by Week 1.

00:00all right so out at uh cowboys minicamp yesterday the the top headline was micah parsons so micah

00:21we had shocker he wasn't going to do anything on the field was the anticipation he had said

00:26yeah i might go out there wednesday do some stuff if my back isn't tight and it's like all right just

00:32say you're holding in dude uh but he's out there he's watching the d-line drills they were inside

00:35and he's got his beanie on does not look like he's going to be doing anything and then you see him

00:41just kind of looking around and he kind of waves at somebody and one of the equipment guys comes over

00:46hands him a helmet he takes off his beanie puts the helmet on and he goes get out of the way i'm

00:51getting in there and he got in the defensive line drills and it wasn't just that the way it works

00:55they got these uh they got the two guys there and it's this competition basically they will

00:59snap a ball or simulate snapping a ball you're supposed to get off and go through the bag

01:03and it's like this you know all right let's see who's who's off the ball quick you know quicker

01:08and so it's like it becomes this little competition micah had them do it three four times in a row

01:13and i can't remember who he was doing across from but he did it and he goes no no no back again and

01:17then he went back and so like you can tell he is just he's been itching were you guys scurrying when

01:22you're like oh my god micah what's micah doing he had to be it's like that cockroach in the hallway

01:27yeah the one choppy's not even killing he's like just brushing up all like i wanted everybody to see

01:31this guy he wants to do his nat geo yeah yeah yeah the cockroach in the americas on in north

01:40north of downtown lives a good life so it was no it's funny when that kind of thing happens

01:47it depends on how obvious it is to everyone if micah's slipping on his helmet they got all these

01:53different position groups then you're kind of quietly just like don't look like i'm panicking

01:57too much to take this photo let's make sure i get the only photo of micah slipping the song

02:01if it's something where all right it's happening right in front of you're communicating you're

02:04saying hey uh do you see this uh so-and-so's doing this or whatever else this one was everybody

02:08could kind of tell and so you're just quickly over there like oh let's get a shot of micah because

02:13we don't know how long this is going to last but he stayed out there for the next two or three drills

02:16they were doing when they went to team period he came off the field didn't participate in that
