A boyfriend captured a unique view of his surprise proposal by wearing a pair of Meta glasses to record his girlfriend's tearful reaction. Teray "Ray" Savage, 34, from Elizabeth, New Jersey, loves capturing special moments on video with his now-fiancée, Aiyana Cook, 30 – so much so that they see that as part of their couple identity. Whether it be vacations or birthdays, the pair are always taking photos and videos, so when it came to popping the question, Ray wanted to record the moment in the most raw and authentic way possible. He decided to purchase a pair of Meta glasses, as he felt this was the only way to capture true point-of-view footage without having a bulky or intrusive camera in the way. On February 21 – Ray's birthday – he and Aiyana were set to head out for dinner, only for Ray to ask if they could stop by a friend's event first. Ray has a large number of friends, Aiyana said, so she didn't suspect anything, but as she walked into the event space, she realized something was up but hadn't noticed he was wearing Meta glasses. It was only when Aiyana saw the light on the glasses everything clicked, and then Ray led her through a sea of friends and family, before getting down on one knee to ask the big question. Through the recording captured by the glasses, Ray was able to showcase Aiyana's range of emotions, through shock, happiness, and tears of joy.
