Nvidia CEO says quantum computing is “within reach” in the real world

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says quantum computing is close to real-world application. While speaking at the chipmaker’s GTC Paris developer conference, Huang said the technology "is reaching an inflection point."

00:00Quantum computing is reaching an inflection point.

00:03We're within reach of being able to apply quantum computing,

00:07quantum classical computing,

00:08in areas that can solve some interesting problems in the coming years.

00:12And so we've been working with all of the supercomputing centers.

00:15It's very clear now that over the next several years,

00:18or at least the next generation of supercomputers,

00:21every single one of them will have a QPU assigned and QPU connected to GPUs.

00:26Just as we accelerated the CPU,

00:28now there's QPU working with the GPU to enable the next generation of computing.
