00:00Courtesy of our Canadian friends at the FanDuel Sportsbook,
00:03we've got some next-team odds, not just for Giannis, but for Kevin Durant.
00:08For Giannis, we start JY, and the odds makers still expect
00:12for him to find his way back to Milwaukee.
00:15It's a minus 250 number.
00:18Do you agree with our Canadian friends at the FanDuel Sportsbook?
00:21Will Giannis Antetokounmpo be playing for the Bucs next season?
00:26No, I don't think so.
00:27I think you're looking at possibly a full rebuild here in Milwaukee.
00:31I think the main reason, Ben, is because of the loss of Damian Lillard
00:34to the Achilles tear.
00:35That team's not going anywhere.
00:37And with Bobby Portis, Pat Conant, and Brooke Lopez, they're old,
00:41let alone they got Doug Rivers coaching the team.
00:43So to me, it's a perfect opportunity to blow it up,
00:46kind of start over with that franchise.
00:48It doesn't present interesting options, obviously, with San Antonio
00:51with the number two pick.
00:52You could base that around probably getting someone like a Dylan Harper
00:55or Ace Bailey.
00:56But to me, the one team that looks more intriguing to me is honestly Houston.
01:01Because I think Houston has the depth and the young assets.
01:04And the fact that Giannis being younger than someone like a Kevin Durant,
01:08you could mix them in with maybe a Shen Goon and others
01:11and have a longer, let's say, championship window.
01:15So to me, if I'm looking at a team possibly to get Giannis,
01:18I'm not looking at the Spurs.
01:19It makes you look at the Rockets.
01:21Yeah, you take a look at Giannis, too, because you have to understand
01:23the franchise doesn't want to get rid of Giannis.
01:25Like, it's a city that doesn't really have, hey, let me be that destination.
01:29I mean, damn, Dame Lillard was like, I'm going to Miami.
01:31He'd go, oh, no, you're going to Milwaukee.
01:33He's like, I don't have anything to do to play video games
01:34and drive home after practice.
01:36It's boring here.
01:36So when I look at the destination cities, it's not one.
01:39You don't want to give it up.
01:40But in the NBA, Coach, we know one thing.
01:42Superstars rule the roost.
01:43If Giannis says he wants to leave, he will be traded.
01:45If Giannis says he wants to stay, he will be staying in Milwaukee.
01:48I do think it's interesting with some of the outlets.
01:50But let's also flip it over to another superstar coach that's out here.
01:53That's Kevin Durant.
01:54Where is he going to go?
01:55And I laugh at this.
01:56Like, the number one odds market here that we're taking a look at are the Rockets.
02:00You and Kevin Durant on a young Rockets team that's trying to learn right now,
02:02it's like the opposite place I want Kevin Durant to wind up.
02:05Number two will be the Suns.
02:06Again, back in his home city where he's already in.
02:09The next team up is the Spurs.
02:10Plus, I don't want him going anywhere near the Spurs.
02:12So, Coach, when I look at Giannis going to a team, he can be a great addition here
02:16for the youngsters, for the veterans, and whoever.
02:18Kevin Durant, I don't think he makes much sense for a team that's rising to get to the next level.
02:22He has to go to a ready-made veteran team that he will say,
02:26I'm okay with not being the A1A athlete.
02:28And I don't know if he can do that.
02:30Yeah, so that's why when you're looking at it, it's those teams in the four and five slot.
02:35And I think it's going to be a mistake.
02:37If he goes somewhere, it probably could be the Knicks.
02:40You look at the fact that the Knicks are going to make a move at some point in the offseason.
02:44The fact that Rich Kleiman is agent or representative, whatever he is,
02:48has always been trying to push him to New York.
02:51And the fact that he will go to Gotham does make a little bit of sense here
02:56because if the Knicks want to change up the roster and get another bona fide sniper score
03:00and someone like Kevin Durant and a team that's in a short window.
03:04Minnesota could make some sense depending on what they're getting returned.
03:07I just don't see it with Houston or with the Spurs
03:12because there are teams that are just going into their championship window
03:16in the next couple of years.
03:16They may not even be there yet, even though Houston overachieved.
03:20So to me, you're looking at Minnesota, you're looking at the Knicks,
03:23there's Philadelphia trying to blow it up and try and make a move
03:25and package a third pick and send them over to play for Donnie Wrightside
03:29in South Jersey and Philadelphia.
03:32I'd rather have that.
