00:08Break it down, run the test, MetaQuest 3, don't you want the best?
00:13Step into the grid, come and raise the bar, you're locked in now, it's Gotcha VR!
00:17This is Hard Bullet, by the developers Gexagon VR, and it was released on the 27th of May 2025.
00:32Now I'm a little mixed up with this one, on one hand it's fun and has plenty of weapons,
00:38but on the other hand it kind of gets boring without a campaign to play.
00:41So right now it's just basically a grinding game, so you go out on what's called a run,
00:46which is basically a set of arenas, quick patrol which is 3 arenas, regular watch which is 4,
00:53or long shift which is 5 arenas, then each arena has 3 waves of attacks.
00:59There's a choice of 7 arenas in all, repair shop, market, pool, warehouse, stairway, basement and rooftop.
01:07Pick your weapon and basically just get kills with it.
01:10As you hit 50, 75, 100 kills with that weapon, you will unlock a new skin for it.
01:16At the end of each arena, you will have gained money which you can use to unlock a new weapon.
01:22Now I might be wrong, but it looks to me as if there are only a few choice of skins.
01:27Each weapon has the same skins, but I'm currently only level 33, so maybe more will become available soon.
01:34Now it's worth mentioning here, that unlocking the weapon doesn't save it.
01:38It will carry over if you keep playing another set of runs, but the minute you leave the game, you will have to buy to unlock that weapon again.
01:47But the kill progress does save.
01:49So there are currently 7 arenas, and they are of an average size.
01:54They look good and have some nice details, but I think they would benefit from being twice as big.
01:59You can also go into each arena and choose between two choices, waves or survival.
02:05Waves is pre-made enemies, limited waves, while survival is custom enemies with no enemy limit.
02:12Select the difficulty, the bodies amount, how many waves, and play health.
02:17Basically normal or invincible.
02:18Also, around the arena, there might be some things to spice up the kills, like spikes out of a wall, a massive hanging hook, petrol cans, fire extinguishers, barrels of oil, many different types of things.
02:31Just have a look around.
02:32The enemies move great, no doubting the physics in this game.
02:36It does very much remind me of Bone Lab, but at least Bone Lab had a campaign to play.
02:41I think there should be more variance in the enemies though, even if they themed it a little, like police, rangers, air force, army, and so on.
02:50But the mechanics are truly amazing.
02:52If they could add a 10 hour solo campaign to this game, then it would be absolutely amazing.
02:58Now, where this game really does shine at the moment is in its huge choice of weapons.
03:04There is so much choice, though I didn't see any crossbows or bows and arrows.
03:08Not yet, anyway.
03:09Having some crossbows or bows and arrows might be some new fun to have with, like, different types of arrowheads.
03:15But all the weapons look amazing and handle really, really well.
03:19The controls are dead simple.
03:21If you play any shooter games, then you already know them.
03:24If you are new to VR or shooters, you will pick up the controls pretty quickly.
03:29There is also a button that gives you a slow motion for a few seconds.
03:32Menus offer language options, seated or standing, choice of your level of violence, whether you want to see full body or not, and reloading type.
03:41What I don't like is, currently, there is no choice to turn off the music.
03:46So I hope this is going to be a choice very soon.
03:48Now, I didn't encounter too many bugs, but they did occur two or three times.
03:53Once, where my weapons seemed to have got stuck and I couldn't grab it.
03:57And then another, where I just seemed to be thrown and flown out the side of the map and just saw everything move further and further away from me until eventually the game crashed.
04:07But other than that, all was great.
04:09You will have a lot of fun in this game if you enjoy shooters, but I can't help feel this game is only at 50% of where it needs to be.
04:17Whilst I spent a few hours in this and I had great fun, there's nothing special in here that really makes me want to return to it.
04:25It really does need a solo campaign to it and a better unlock reward system.
04:30Most people really need unlocks or trophies to aim for to want to come back.
04:35They do, however, have a bit of a roadmap up which shows some interesting things coming.
04:40I just don't know.
04:42Whilst there's plenty to love about this game, I can't help feel there's so much missing.
04:46Anyway, go hit that like button and support my channel by hitting subscribe.
