00:00Hey, it's people in 10. I think we all saw this one coming. JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes are getting
00:09real intimate. Now if you remember, JoJo denied last week that he was her boyfriend, but this
00:15week she's confirming they're not platonic anymore. Uh, you think? JoJo even said they're
00:20both head over heels. All this because of a reality show? Talk about TV magic. It's a little
00:26less magical for Kath Ebbs, who JoJo was dating when she went into the celebrity Big Brother
00:31house. They reportedly broke up at the show's after party in April. Love is in the air for
00:37Cardi B as well, who hard launched her boatmans with NFL star Stephon Diggs and posted this
00:43video too. So not safe for work, but live your life. She and the Patriots wide receiver were
00:49first seen together in February and just a month ago was sitting courtside at a Knicks game.
00:53All their PDA comes after she accused her ex, Offset, of not seeing their kids. The people
00:59are rooting for you, girl. A pretty big change just went down in the court case between Blake
01:05Lively and Justin Baldoni. I need answers, so let's get them. Hey, Mako, what's up? Hey,
01:12Alex. Okay, so we're hearing this week that Blake is dropping some of her charges against Justin.
01:17Which ones? Blake is dropping two of her charges against Justin Baldoni, one of them being intentional
01:22infliction of emotional distress and the other one being negligent infliction of emotional distress.
01:27She wants to withdraw them without prejudice. Justin Baldoni's team says, no, no, we want you
01:33to withdraw them with prejudice. Okay, prejudice. What does that mean? Prejudice? Fair question. It's
01:38a term used, you know, in court in the legal world. It means that Blake is asking to withdraw these claims
01:44and then be able to refile them at any time she or her team chooses. Justin Baldoni's team says,
01:50no, if you're going to withdraw these claims, then you should not be allowed to refile them
01:54at all. But why withdraw them in the first place? Like, what's the point? What's the point? So Justin
02:00Baldoni's team is claiming that Blake wants to withdraw them because she doesn't want to offer
02:04the medical and mental health records that his team requested as evidence to support those claims
02:09that she's making. Her team actually issued a statement to people that says, this is just a
02:14routine part of what we do as trial lawyers while we're prepping and streamlining a case.
02:18Basically, there's nothing to see here. And a judge actually said that Blake is allowed to withdraw
02:23these claims. He approved that. That's okay. But if she does choose to refile later, she cannot offer
02:30any supporting evidence. Hmm. Okay. There's a lot going on. I'm glad that you are here to break it
02:35down. Well, I'll talk to you later, Alex. Sounds good. Talk to you later. Bye. Bye.
02:40Things are heating up legally for Jodi Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson as well,
02:46who was still figuring out custody of their five-year-old daughter, Juno,
02:49after they split in 2023. Now, Joshua alleges Jodi changed Juno's school without his knowledge.
02:55He was the court to keep Juno in her current school and to give him say in future academic
03:00decisions. Sounds fair. But Jodi is throwing shade with this cryptic post seemingly directed at her ex.
03:06We see what you did there. It was only a few days ago that Patti LuPone was spilling the tea
03:12about her non-friendship with Audra McDonald. If there's a rift between us, it's, I don't know
03:17what it is. Us either. Patti got into some hot water for that and for calling another actress,
03:23Keisha Lewis, a bitch. That led to more than 500 people from the Broadway community signing an open
03:29letter to reprimand her. And what a difference it made because now Patti's walking it back in a pretty
03:34historic apology. She acknowledged it herself. It's the first time she's ever said sorry for
03:39speaking her mind, but she knows her words were demeaning and disrespectful and even hopes to
03:44apologize in person. Hey, it's a start. It was a girl's night out for Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift
03:51as the besties reunited at New York City's Monkey Bar on 54th Street. And they had a lot to celebrate
03:56since this was right after Tate announced she finally owns all of her masters. You know,
04:01after that whole debacle, she was also all smiles with her friend and collaborator, Jack Antonoff,
04:07recreating their viral getaway car video with a very special guest, her cat, Meredith Grey. You
04:12know, it's a big deal when she's willing to make an appearance. Ask, and apparently Kylie Jenner will
04:19deliver. So a fan wanted to know exactly what Kylie requested when she got her breasts done,
04:25because in her opinion, it's perfection. And she wants the same look for herself. Shoot your shot,
04:30right? We just didn't expect much since Kylie isn't usually super candid about stuff like this,
04:35but she came through not only listing the specs she ordered, but even the Beverly Hills doc who
04:40performed the surgery. Question answered. Saoirse Ronan has some exciting news. We had a hunch back in
04:48May, but now it's official. She and her husband, Jack Loudon are expecting their first child. And
04:53they're not the only ones. Vanessa Kirby revealed her baby bump at a Fantastic Four event after going
04:59IG official with retired lacrosse player Paul Rabel back in 2023. And while that Vanessa is
05:04pregnant, this Vanessa is not. The mom of four and wife to the late Kobe Bryant set the record straight
05:11real quick after catching wind of some online rumors, even getting help from Rihanna to do so.
05:16You tell them, V. Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Pelt are lawyering up, which is the latest development
05:23in the ongoing tensions with Brooklyn's fam. And their new lawyer is someone with celeb experience,
05:28Jenny Afia, who's previously worked with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who, by the way,
05:33are celebrating Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday this week. Cute. Anyway, a source tells people the hire
05:39has no connection to the former royals, but it does come right after the couple met them at a recent
05:45dinner party in Montecito. Suspicious timing. And if you believe the mail on Sunday, they're bringing
05:50Jenny on to help with, quote, reputation management. Interesting. Now it's to sit down with Michael
05:58Cera. Hi, Michael. You absolutely dazzle in the new Wes Anderson film, The Phoenician Scheme.
06:04Is this supposed to be here? It was under the lunch trolley. Oh, dear. And how much leeway did Wes give
06:09you with your character? The way I saw it was like Wes had written this really fun character.
06:15And the character to me was very alive in front of my eyes when I was reading it. You kind of have
06:20your interpretation of it or your ideas that you, you know, bring to it and what you see and do your
06:27best with it. But I mean, Wes was very inviting too, to like, to ideas. We kind of found the tenor of
06:35this guy together in a sort of rehearsal period and then just like jump in and hope that, hope that it
06:41works. It all came from Wes. I mean, none of it came from me. I'm just lucky. Like, it's dumb luck
06:45to get that invitation. Could you imagine falling in love with a man like me, by the way, hypothetically?
06:51You're drunk on three beers.
06:53Benedict Cumberbatch says,
06:55Watching Wes Anderson discover and use Michael Cera is like God discovering water. How big does that make
07:01you smile? It was very flattering to hear from such a guy, too. Yeah, I appreciate that a lot. And I
07:09think he's amazing. And I love him in this movie and in everything, actually.
07:12How exciting is being included alongside Wes Anderson's usual cast of characters?
07:17It is exciting. I mean, there's a handful of people in Wes's caliber, you know, for every
07:22generation. You know, he's amazing. He's doing work on a very supreme level and it's very, you know,
07:30obviously very singular to him. And it's, I mean, it's a language that he's invented.
07:36I wonder if it remembers me.
07:38I covered the Asteroid City Junket and everyone, Adrian, Scarlett, Hope Davis, was ranting and raving
07:45about how they all stayed together on location. How similar was this, Zach?
07:49He took over a little small hotel near the studio where we were doing this in Potsdam.
07:54And that becomes kind of the hub where everybody gets dressed, everybody does your makeup in the
07:58morning, gets, you know, everything ready. And then at night, you all have dinner there.
08:01It's a really nice way to work. I mean, it creates a real like incubator and a real sense of
08:07of that, of like an experience, a shared experience. It's great, actually. And then he's obviously got,
08:13you know, these amazing people that he keeps around and, um, you all have dinner. It's,
08:18it's very communal. It's a nice way to make movies.
08:21Now that you have kids, how do you think about your legacy as an actor?
08:25Do you choose roles with them in mind at all?
08:28I don't, I mean.
08:32It's okay if it's not.
08:33I don't even know what it means. It does make me want to, um, maybe do like some kind of sweet
08:40kids movie that my kids would like, uh, just cause it would be fun to watch.
08:45Okay. To wrap it up, we're going to put 10 seconds on the clock. Tell everyone why they
08:49should see the Phoenician scheme. Ready? Go.
08:52I hope people will just enjoy the ride of it. It's just like going to another world. It's
08:57a very transporting movie. So I hope people just get carried away into it like a dream.
09:02Michael, thank you so much for joining us today.
09:05You too. Thanks. Nice being with you.
