00:00My family, like the rest of the population, are waiting for any news about an end to the genocide.
00:05They are waiting for any intervention.
00:08They are waiting to hear any miracle because they have lost faith in the leaders of the world.
00:14Palestinians continue to lobby world leaders to come to their aid,
00:17one and a half years into the conflict with Israel.
00:20At this time, all aid into Gaza has been blocked, unless it comes through a private U.S. firm.
00:26Tens of thousands of trucks waiting, stranded in the Egyptian side and also in the Israeli side.
00:33All those trucks have to be inspected.
00:34Many of them turned away.
00:36Many of them dumped because they're spoiled, expired.
00:39Because Israel has destroyed UNRWA.
00:41The heady quarter of UNRWA was in Gaza.
00:44They destroyed all UNRWA's facilities.
00:46UNRWA stands for United Nations Relief and Works Agency
00:50that caters for millions of Palestinian refugees in Gaza, in Jordan, Lebanon,
00:55and in the region.
00:57So there's only one organization that is in charge of distributing the aid.
01:03However, in recent times, attacks have been perpetrated against persons seeking aid and supplies.
01:10They often met with live rounds.
01:12You are talking about 600 Palestinians have been massacred the last week alone.
01:17Those people, those hungry people, they were queuing in the hope to receive a sack of flour.
01:23The United Nations has rejected what it termed Israel's attempt to weaponize aid,
01:29and its Security Council was set to vote on another Gaza ceasefire resolution today.
01:35Meantime, Al-Hilou is doing his part to lobby regional governments, including TNT,
01:41to take a stronger stance on the matter.
01:44The official level here, they must be clear publicly that they stand with Palestinian rights,
01:50that they reject what Israel is doing.
01:53Because the more officials declare their public opinion to the media,
01:59then Israel would feel that it's losing allies here and there.
02:03It must be clear that the countries in the Caribbean,
02:09they are not taking part by facilitating the shipment of weapons to Israel.
02:14They don't allow ships laden with weapons to look at your reports here.
02:18Protest outside the Israeli embassies, expel Israeli ambassadors, what they are doing here.
02:23TV6 News has reached out to the Minister of Foreign Affairs,
02:27inquiring as to the new administration's stance on the Palestine-Israel issue.
02:32Renasa Cutting, TV6 News.
