01:06Anyone who can hear me, help!
01:08Please, help!
01:09I am under attack!
01:10This is Flash Gordon, of the Defenders of the Earth!
01:13For the last time, can you hear me?
01:16Identify yourself.
01:18There's nothing I like better, old chaps,
01:20than a nice long trip around the Moon before H-Rex.
01:24Our truck boarded and still no sign of a feeling distressed.
01:28You don't call this distressing?
01:29Dynak, how much longer do we stay on this wild goose chase?
01:33The source of the distress signal has been located.
01:36Five kilometers and closing fast.
01:39Come on, Dynak, we've been over that spot 12 times.
01:42We didn't find a single...
01:43Dad, look!
01:45What in the world?
01:54What is it?
01:57A solar sailing ship built by Ming.
02:00Life scan probe shows no one is aboard.
02:03The distress call was a recording.
02:05What's going on here?
02:08Ming's robo-ships! It's a trap!
02:12Shears on full! Everybody scatter!
02:16Pick them off one at a time!
02:19Somebody tell me what's wrong with these guys!
02:21They work for Ming the Merciless?
02:24I mean, besides that...
02:26They outnumber us five to one, but not one of them has hit us!
02:29Yes, almost as if they're not really trying!
02:34Nice shooting, Jedi!
02:36Now it's our turn!
02:42But you hit Ming's solar ship.
02:51Now for the rest of Ming's robo-ships!
03:01Quiet, dude!
03:03They're running away!
03:05Who cares? We won, didn't we?
03:07Yes, without even a scratch.
03:09There can be no error.
03:19Then check again, Dynaq.
03:21The answer doesn't make any sense.
03:24Dynaq?
03:25I believe it is your move, my dear.
03:28And I believe it is checkmate, dear Mandrake.
03:31Very resourceful, Jedha.
03:33A most clever move.
03:34Too clever.
03:36Hmm?
03:36Oh, I mean Ming.
03:38Relax, old man.
03:39We won, didn't we?
03:41Yeah, but too easily.
03:43I...
03:43I just can't shake the feeling that something's about to happen.
03:47Ming is up to something.
03:51I...
03:52I just wish I knew what his next move is going to be.
03:55It's gonna be curtains if I catch whoever reprogrammed Dynaq.
03:59Nobody's touched her programming.
04:00Then she's gone haywire!
04:02Comet 2010-E is approaching the sun from deep space.
04:06Scanners show the comet has changed course.
04:09You see?
04:10She's gone soft in the circuits.
04:12It is physically impossible for a comet to change course.
04:16Well, go on, tell them the rest.
04:17The comet is on a collision course with Earth.
04:20It will strike in 12 days.
04:22LJ, call Phantom and Lothar.
04:25Let's go.
04:26Wait a minute.
04:27It's not possible.
04:28A comet can't change course by itself.
04:31Tell that to the comet.
04:32I don't know how it moved, but we've got to move it back.
04:34And you know as well as anyone, Rick, Dynaq is never wrong.
04:37But, but...
04:38Hold on the phone, Cushion, my boy.
04:40We will be back soon.
04:41But...
04:42But, he's a cop.
04:44Oh, look at...
04:46Can you...
04:50Oh, can you...
04:51Oh, thanks, Saf.
04:53Okay, everybody.
05:05Let's keep it on target and tighten up the formation.
05:08A direct hit from all our blasters should nudge it enough to miss Earth.
05:12Prepare to fire on my mark in exactly...
05:14Attention, defenders.
05:16Comet 2010-E has changed course.
05:18It will not collide with Earth as previously calculated.
05:22She's doing it again.
05:23Something's getting mighty fishy.
05:28Earth tractor beam!
05:31Can't slow down!
05:34I've got to turn around!
05:40Everybody, fire auxiliaries now!
05:53Dad, look at the gauges!
06:00The engines can't take much more!
06:03They'll explode!
06:08No!
06:09It is not a comet!
06:11It...
06:11It is a world!
06:13One chance!
06:21Fire!
06:22Fire!
06:26No!
06:27Enough!
06:29We're starting to break free!
06:31Fire!
06:36Fire!
06:36Fire!
06:37Fire!
06:37Fire!
06:37Fire!
06:37Fire!
06:38Fire!
06:40Fire!
06:40Fire!
06:40Fire!
06:41Fire!
06:41Fire!
06:41Fire!
06:41Fire!
06:43Dad, where are we?
06:46Wherever we are, there's plenty of air.
06:48Gravity reads normal.
06:49All the comforts of home.
06:52Everybody sit tight for a minute.
06:55Okay, all clear.
07:00Put down your weapons, please.
07:05Who's there? Identify yourself.
07:07You must put down your weapons.
07:13Not until you tell us who you are, where we are, and why you've brought us here.
07:17All questions will be answered in time.
07:23Dad! Dad!
07:26Please, your weapon, put it down.
07:34Dad, you okay?
07:37Yeah, Rick. I'm...
07:40Flash Gordon, we of Illyria detest violence.
07:45It's so uncivilized.
07:47Hey!
07:49How do you know my name?
07:51I am called Igra.
07:53We of Illyria have long known of you defenders of the Earth.
07:58We have studied your television transmissions from far out in space.
08:05Upon this world, you are, in a way, blank-famous.
08:10We of Illyria are seekers of justice, givers of law.
08:15We are protectors of freedom.
08:18We travel the galaxy seeking primitive planets, like Earth.
08:24I still don't know why you brought us here.
08:27Those who are threats to a planet's freedom, we bring here to trial.
08:31Men who only love conquest and power.
08:35Conquest and power?
08:36Yeah, we have one like that on Earth.
08:38If you mean the one called Ming, he is here.
08:43You've got Ming here?
08:45Where are you keeping him?
08:47You will see him shortly.
08:49Meanwhile, I hope you find these humble accommodations comfortable.
08:53The trial will begin soon, and I, of course, will be speaking in your defense.
08:58Though the charges against you are somewhat severe.
09:01Charges?
09:02I thought you said Ming is on trial.
09:04Oh, no, Mr. Gordon.
09:06It is you.
09:09What?
09:10We've done nothing wrong.
09:12You...
09:13Please, Mr. Gordon.
09:17You must restrain your earthly violence.
09:21At least our earthly laws allow us to face our accuser and hear the charges against us.
09:26As do ours.
09:28Here is your accuser.
09:34Somebody tell me I'm dreaming.
09:39No, Mr. Gordon.
09:40This man brought us proof of your plans to conquer planet Earth while he...
09:45That's a lie!
09:46He's the one who wants to conquer Earth!
09:48Let us out of here!
09:49Now!
09:51Ah!
09:52Barbarians.
09:54Barbarians to the last.
09:56Perhaps, Igram, you should show that the evidence...
10:00This is a video recording, Mr. Gordon.
10:03A broadcast we received from one of your own television stations.
10:09And in the news tonight, more reports of rampant destruction.
10:12As seven barbarians calling themselves the Defenders of the Earth continue their reign of terror.
10:17This time igniting 10,000 acres of forest.
10:20Father, that's...
10:21That's us!
10:22That's us!
10:23Igram, this film is not real.
10:26We have analyzed it thoroughly.
10:29The faces are yours.
10:31Meanwhile, closer to home today, a terrorist known as Lothar, with an unknown accomplice,
10:37bombed the Central City Bank building.
10:39Flash.
10:39They blew up that building 10 years ago.
10:42And the mystery that has baffled authorities for weeks, who stole the top secret bombs from
10:47the U.S. Army's Fort James...
10:48Hey, that's me!
10:48...was solved tonight with the release of these secret Pentagon films,
10:52viewing Flash Gordon, a terrorist ringleader, directing the daring robbery.
10:57Igram, you can't believe all this!
10:59...and on nothing less than the conquest of the Earth.
11:01What I believe does not matter.
11:04Dad, look!
11:05Late reports just in from the moon tell of a vicious and unwarranted attack on a research vessel.
11:10That's why the wild goose chase.
11:12You're right, Dad.
11:13But where are all the robo-ships?
11:15Conveniently edited from the film.
11:17The ship Gossamer Ajar was on a mission of mercy to rescue stranded astronauts on the moon.
11:22Oh, give me a break.
11:23The vessel has generously loaned to Earth authorities by the award-winning scientist
11:27and head of the World Rescue Aid Society, Ming the Merciful.
11:31What?
11:31This time he's got us, but good.
11:33What can we do?
11:35Plan A. Tell the truth.
11:36And when that doesn't work?
11:38Plan B. At least one of us busts out of here and gets back with proof of how Ming faked those tapes.
11:44Here's what we'll do, Mandrake, when it's our turn to speak.
11:47And the Gossamer Angel crashed in a fiery death on the moon as this news footage shows.
11:52Tonight there is still no word on the whereabouts of ringleader Flash Gordon
11:56or his henchman Phantom, Mandrake, and...
12:00If it pleases the court, I...
12:04I can bear no more.
12:07Seeing such destruction of my beloved Earth,
12:11such mindless violence,
12:13such unfeeling barbarism...
12:16Lies!
12:17He's...
12:18Silence!
12:19Rick, no, not yet.
12:21You see, that is their true nature.
12:25Primitive violence.
12:27I humbly rest my faith.
12:32The defendants have denied all charges against them,
12:36but offered no proof of their innocence.
12:38Do you have anything to say before sentence is passed
12:42and you are banished from this galaxy?
12:45So much for justice.
12:47Time for Plan B.
12:49I was wondering when you would say that.
12:51If it pleases the court,
12:53being banished to a galaxy so distant
12:56that one can never return
12:57makes us very...
12:59happy.
13:01Therefore, with all due respect,
13:03may this bird of happiness
13:05flutter up your Illyrian nose.
13:07What?
13:09And since you've been such a wonderful audience,
13:12allow me to say that
13:14how you could find seven wonderful accounts
13:17like this guilty is...
13:20Well, it's quite beyond my ability
13:23to just to digitate.
13:24Stop him!
13:24In fact, it's like magic!
13:28Order!
13:29Order!
13:30Now, Mandrake!
13:34Let's go!
13:35Run for the rocket-hanger
13:38and remember the plan!
13:39Don't look back!
13:40No matter what happens...
13:42Don't stop!
13:45LJ!
13:49Rick!
13:50Jenna!
13:50Keep going!
13:56Don't look back!
13:57I'll lead them off!
13:58My father?
14:18The others?
14:19We're the only ones who made it.
14:21Still gotta get to the rocket-hanger.
14:22Yeah, great idea, Rick!
14:38No, Kisa!
14:39Stay down!
14:41You sure we're heading for the rocket-hanger?
14:43Yeah.
14:44It's not far now.
14:45Just follow me!
14:46Oh, Kisa, not now.
15:11Hang on.
15:13We're almost there.
15:14The place is as empty as Ming's Christmas stock.
15:25Guess the whole planet turned out for the trial.
15:27Maybe everybody, but not everything.
15:30Hang on.
15:31We're getting out of here.
15:32How?
15:33Like this.
15:34Ice Station Earth, here we come!
15:52If we are quite finished with this barbaric display, the trial will continue.
16:00You have not helped your case.
16:02What do you expect?
16:03We're barbarians, remember?
16:05Even a caveman would know your justice stinks.
16:08I'm afraid your world has forgotten something, old man.
16:12Something me poor primitives have known for a long time.
16:15No one is required to prove his innocence.
16:18He is innocent until proven guilty.
16:24Do you think we could pass as dummies?
16:26Do you want me to answer that?
16:28Shh!
16:29Here he comes!
16:30You were deactivated!
16:47What has gone wrong?
16:49Stop!
16:50Stop!
16:52I command you to stop!
16:53In the name of being a mercy!
16:55Stop!
17:01Stop!
17:02I have deactivated you!
17:04You cannot move!
17:05Do you hear me?
17:07Stop!
17:08This is scientifically impossible!
17:16All clear!
17:18Look, this is where Ming made his phony newscast.
17:22Rick, catch me!
17:23Ow!
17:25Jedha, if you weren't such a dummy, I'd...
17:28Who are you calling a dummy?
17:30Come on, you guys.
17:31We gotta get this evidence back to the trial before it's too late.
17:35Whew!
17:35Sure don't make me like they used to.
17:44The boat has been taken.
17:46The defenders of the Earth are guilty for the good of the planet Earth.
17:50They must be banished at once.
17:52We are innocent!
17:53It is made in the merciless who is...
17:55Personally, I do prefer using the old vanishing booth.
18:05Wait!
18:06Wait!
18:07No!
18:08No!
18:08We must wait!
18:15Stop!
18:18No!
18:19Yes, there is other evidence to be heard.
18:23If it pleases the courts, allow us to present those bad barbarians we've all come to know and love.
18:34The defenders of the earth!
18:37Ming built these robots.
18:39They did the destruction you saw.
18:42And the television transmissions you received?
18:44The news tonight, more reports of destruction, as the seven barbarians calling themselves the defenders of the Earth...
18:53Release the defenders!
18:55...continue their...
18:55Ring of the Earth!
18:59Please don't go.
19:01It is our fault Ming escaped.
19:03At least allow us to capture him for you.
19:06No thanks.
19:09We poor primitives will do just fine fighting our own fights and holding our own trials.
19:17But at least let us try to return your friend, Mandre.
19:22That will not be necessary, my dear friends.
19:25I was never banished in the first place.
19:27But how did you...
19:30A magician never reveals the tricks of his trade.
19:37And now, if you'll excuse us, we have a real barbarian to catch.
19:44They were innocent.
19:47We found them guilty.
19:50And to think we almost...
19:53Egral assembled the people for another trial.
19:57A trial?
19:58Of whom?
19:59Of our laws, Egral.
20:01Of our justice.
20:04Of our...
20:05Selves.
20:06Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral, Egral.
