00:00And I mean, look, I know Mike Malone got fired and some others too, but you know, to me,

00:04is there any sport that has less, you know, basically confidence in their coaches like

00:10owners do in the NBA? I mean, this is crazy. Come on. I mean, Thibodeau's got at least come

00:15back next year. This is nuts. I think he's going to be back next year. And the big reason why is

00:20what else are they going to do? If I'm not mistaken, he is the second longest tenured

00:23coach in the NBA now after Greg Popovich stepped down, which doesn't even make sense in my mind

00:27when I say it out loud. But for him to have been in New York for as long as he has been there and

00:33he's established an identity for that team, he's a big reason why Jalen Brunson is there because

00:37Jalen Brunson's dad is on that coaching staff with Tom Thibodeau. So, you know, there are some things

00:41he could maybe improve on and that's every coach, right? There's the thing where he plays his guys,

00:45you know, maybe too many minutes and he doesn't trust his depth pieces. But on the flip side,

00:49maybe they need better depth pieces. I know we trusted Landry Shammott and DeLon Wright down the

00:54stretch in that series and they made a difference. And maybe people are saying he should have

00:57experimented with lineups. So hopefully for him, he can use this as a learning experience and still

01:01evolve as a coach and come back and be better next year because with the situation in Boston,

01:06the situation in Milwaukee and the uncertainty, honestly, around how sustainable this is in

01:10Indiana, the Eastern Conference is probably going to be wide open again next season. So if the Knicks

01:15run it back and maybe make some improvements in the margins and Tom Thibodeau improves in the

01:19margins, then they'll have another shot to be right where they were this year and maybe get

01:22further next time.
