Ukraine says it has hit over 40 Russian military aircraft in mass drone attack

Ukraine's Security Service hit 41 Russian military aircraft, including strategic bombers, in a large-scale operation using drones on Sunday. Russia confirmed the attacks.

00:00An operation by Ukraine's security service on Sunday hit 41 military planes that were
00:07lined up at four airfields inside Russia. The operation, dubbed Spiderweb, targeted airfields
00:13in Russia's Ryazan, Ivanovo, Irkutsk, and Murmansk regions. It included the clandestine
00:19smuggling of drones deep into Russian territory, hiding them and finally launching them remotely.
00:25The governor of Irkutsk, which is over 4,000 kilometers from the front line,
00:31said it was the first time a Ukrainian drone was seen in the region,
00:35adding that it was launched from a truck. Also on Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr
00:40Zelensky said Ukraine will send a delegation to Istanbul for a new round of direct peace talks
00:46with Russia on Monday. Zelensky said Kiev's utmost priority is an unconditional ceasefire,
00:52followed by the return of prisoners and Ukrainian children forcefully deported by Russia.
