00:012026 marks the 60th anniversary of ITB Berlin, the world's leading tourism trade show.
00:08This year's event is set against the backdrop of heightened geopolitical tensions.
00:13And although most of the world are still in attendance,
00:15conversations around safety, security and resilience have come to the forefront of the event.
00:25Though taking place in Berlin, this year's host country is Angola.
00:32We want to promote our country because we are well aware that nobody visits the place that they don't know.
00:42So we have to make ourselves known to the world.
00:46Being host country of ITB is a, I mean, a concrete expression of how ambitious is Angola.
00:57Most of the countries are known for one product.
01:00Angola has the big five plus gorillas.
01:03That means that we can do safari and we can do a tropical forest.
01:08We have the oldest desert in the world, Namibia Desert.
01:12And the second biggest waterfall in Africa, Kalandula Waterfall.
01:21Adventure travel is a key topic here at ITB Berlin.
01:25For travelers, it's an opportunity to explore beyond the new cities into the wonders of the natural world.
01:31So Indonesia with 17,000 islands is the capital of adventure.
01:37We have over 150 volcanoes and some of them is the best in the world.
01:43This is not me telling, but the tourists, the testimony.
01:47Prinzani, for example, the world famous is the most beautiful volcano in the world.
01:52You go there, you climb, and you see it's like paradise, they say.
02:01Azerbaijan is a great place to go and see maybe some nature spot in the mountains of Schachtag
02:07or on the way for a sunset, the Candy Cane Mountains, which get in a beautiful orange-red colouring for
02:15sunset.
02:18Many destinations are seeing tourists demand a deeper and more authentic experience away from the typical tourist sites and tours.
02:27Many people know mountain ranges in other countries, hiking the greater Caucasus is from many a new experience
02:35and an experience maybe where they can be with their own zen discovering the new mountain range.
02:42I think hiking especially is a trend connecting with nature, connecting with people, with mountain villages,
02:50with heritage, with traditions, practices in the villages, might it be from copper crafts or silk heritage
02:58or mountain herbs in the greater Caucasus.
03:02So I think hiking is a beautiful topic connecting all these items of meaningful connection between a destination and a
03:11traveller.
03:15So food in Montenegro is, I promise you, beautiful.
03:19Food that was locally produced and that actually has the taste of produce, the beautiful taste of the land, of
03:26the grass, of the air.
03:28And by all means you should combine it with some of our lovely wines.
03:33My preference is Vranats. Vranats is an indigenous grape sort, grows mostly in Montenegro and partly in Macedonia.
03:43It resembles a bit Primitivo, Italian Primitivo.
03:46So it's a very opulent red wine but goes beautifully with very hearty, good food that you can eat in
03:53our country.
03:57But building tourism isn't just about adding new attractions to our own visitors.
04:01It's about making it easier for them to get there in the first place.
04:04The challenge usually is in the connectivity and also infrastructure.
04:08I'm glad to report that in 2026 all these wonders are going to be much more accessible than even last
04:18year.
04:19This year we are having over 130 airline destinations.
04:24So connectivity has dramatically improved.
04:30You want to experience the local culture, you can experience anywhere in Malaysia.
04:34So you just need to connect the tourists with what they want to try.
04:38You also can experience how the Malaysians live.
04:42That's how we want to show to the people for this year.
04:47With improved access allowing deeper connections, the whole industry is helping to diversify visitors and keep tourism thriving.
04:57With improved access providing those projects as well.
04:59We are the only ones that we can do for this year.
04:59We will help our people with help and we can get into the process of a bit better.
05:00The years that you can see the affected world conditions for this year.
05:00You
