Man in hospital after becoming unresponsive during attempted arrest at Royston Park, police say

South Australian police say a man is in hospital after becoming unresponsive while being arrested at Royston Park in Adelaide’s east early this Thursday morning.

00:00At about 2.45 this morning, police say they responded to an incident between a man and a woman on Paynham Road.

00:09They say that as police attempted to arrest the man, he became unresponsive and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

00:17Police say that there were no tasers used in this incident and also that no one was shot.

00:22This morning we've seen major crime and professional standards detectives sweeping the area for evidence.

00:28We've seen firefighters pressure washing the road and the path and we've also seen police going into businesses nearby.

00:36Now the man remains in hospital as this investigation continues.
