00:00I'm just getting right to it.
00:02I think the league is banking on Rodgers and the Steelers
00:06filling these primetime slots, and not Rudolph and the Steelers.
00:12What do you make of it all?
00:14That's certainly fair to say that they'd be rooting for a compelling matchup like that.
00:19I guess I would push back a little bit on your excitement for it
00:23in saying that while the Jets experiment didn't work out,
00:29the Jets experiment obviously didn't work out.
00:32But does it make it compelling for him to come back to New York?
00:36Obviously, there'd be Jets fans booing him and fired up about it.
00:41But it wasn't really just a failure on Aaron Rodgers' part.
00:47I think this is an organizational failure.
00:50There was obviously a major injury involved.
00:53Of course, it's compelling.
00:55But to me, not as compelling as Lamar versus Josh,
00:59despite the fact that we know that Lamar and Josh Allen will be around later in the season.
01:06Do these types of fringe playoff teams like the Steelers and maybe the Jets,
01:11does this game matter more to them?
01:13I think that's the thing, right?
01:15It's like we're going to get Lamar versus Josh another 7, 8, 9, 10 times.
01:20I don't remember, maybe you could recall something better than I can,
01:25where Soto very recently just went to the Bronx, right?
01:29And we saw what that brings out.
01:31We see that sometimes in the NBA, all things depending on the situation.
01:36I try and think about a player leaving somewhere that was really, really important
01:40and then coming back and getting booze, right?
01:43Brady's first game as a buck wasn't in New England.
01:46And again, they probably would have thanked him.
01:48Peyton's first game after leaving the Colts was, you know, not in Indianapolis, right?
01:54That's not really how that all played out.
01:57And again, those were left on much friendlier terms.
02:00And you're, by the way, yeah, it's not all Rodgers' fault.
02:04But here's the thing.
02:05A lot of the guys that Rodgers blamed are gone,
02:08and it was the new regime that kind of seemingly stuck it to him on the way out
02:13by making him fly to the building to be told, leave.
02:17So I just think there's a lot there, and it doesn't hurt the fact that there's no way
02:23I don't grab a field goal with the Jets at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers
02:27and maybe a little over 39 and a half.
02:30We're starting sub-40 week one, Mike.
02:32Weather should be beautiful.
02:33I love the fact that you, despite the fact that we have Lamar Jackson vs. Josh Allen in week one
02:40and the Lions going to Lambeau in week one, you're like, you know what?
02:44Let's fire up MetLife.
02:45Let's get fired up for a field goal game in New Jersey.
02:49What do you think Mason Rudolph might be playing against Justin Fields?
02:53Possibility, certainly.
02:54So I'm picking up what you're throwing down.
02:57It obviously would be a compelling storyline.
02:59There's not these scheduling things that happen both in the NFL,
03:05and we obviously see it in March Madness as well.
03:07These are not accidents.
03:08These are done purposely.
03:11Absolutely, and I think they did a great job.
03:13And I will say, I think I'm very, every time I talk about this, I'm so rude to Fields.
03:17But he's a great storyline, but he's like storyline 12 for me in this little battle that we have,
03:25despite maybe his rushing yards prop being the best bet on the board in that game.
